Kayla listens and helps. She is an excellent provider and I’m sad she left Waterloo! I run a little anxious but she was calming, kind, answered all my questions and never made me feel ridiculous for asking. It’s hard to find a provider to replace to her because she so great!

After losing Dr. Breitkreuz, and then his replacement Dr. Laib, we were worried about finding a new doctor. Our fears have more than been squelched! Kayla and her staff have been nothing beyond stellar in everything from their compassion caring attitude and professionalism and focus to providing the best possible care available. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and appreciative at how attentive Kayla and her staff were in explaining anything and everything from check in questions and concerns to test results. We especially enjoy Kayla’s bedside manner. She is a down to earth, people person and will explain things in detail in “non-doctor terms” above your head. While at the same time make sure you know that she has your best interest in mind when she gives you the options for your care. When she goes over test results of procedures and labs, she will break things down easily and make sure that you understand what she is talking about, and not leave as a deer in the headlights. Best of all, she can make you laugh and feel easy. You are an actual person who is sitting in the room with her, not just someone else to be seen on a schedule that she has to hurry up and get through to the next room. She makes you feel like you are the only patient.

So disheartened at lack of care I received here. I went to see Kayla after doing significant research and seeing she was passionate about chronic pain cases. I was optimistic (and given reason to believe) after my first visit that Kayla would help me find an answer after ten years of none, but instead I was sent to various tests without any context, argued with by her nurse when I asked questions, and consistently spoken down to. When I asked to speak directly with Kayla to answer some of my questions, I was sent to scheduling to schedule a new appointment altogether. This was one of the most discouraging experiences I've had in the medical field, and I'd encourage anyone looking for help finding answers to avoid this office.
