Having health issues, so we scheduled an appointment being a self pay patient. Showed up and they denied us, being self pay. Said they called and tried to tell us, when they only left a message saying to be in 30 minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork. I have the message. Thanks alot. It's sad to see you only want insurance payments so you can charge them 10 times the amount.

Didn't even give a price without insurance... all you do is office wellness and orders. We aren't flinching over cost. Says alot about these folks.

Update: Thanks for the generic response with a bogus phone number that will get you nowhere. Unlike the number to your other responses to resolve issues. You are really showing everyone who you and this establishment really are.

Never a wait! Most of my appointments there is no one in the waiting area so I get in right away which I appreciate immensely. The staff is competent, and friendly without question every single time. Dr. Richards is concise, low key and has always been aware of everything that is going on in my treatment with most of my specialists. He listens and also understands my needs and is open to getting feedback on what works and what doesn't. He's not a pushy know-it-all, like some doctors can be. I highly recommend him as a highly competent primary care physician. No muss - no fuss.

My husband has been a patient of Dr Richards for 10 years. He is very healthy and doesn't go in very often. He called and got an appointment for a physical. We get there and they exchange pleasantries. Dr Richards asked what he was there for. Stunned, my husband said a physical. Dr replied, I don't do that on a first visit. What? He explained to the doc he wasn't a 1st time visit, but that it had been 2/3 years. He requested a physical when calling for appt. Dr. Richards said take it up with office manager since he didnt have it on his paperwork. Again, what? To her credit she did come in and we got paperwork corrected. My husband asked for a lab sheet to get blood
work. He showed up and the paperwork had not been coded correctly so 2.5 hours later he was finally able to get blood work done. If you are new and looking for a doctor, keep on looking!

I've been a patient of Dr Richards for about 3 years now. He and his staff are always friendly, warm and straightforward. His integrity and ethics are above reproach. I can honestly say I trust him without reservation. His mannerism, personality and patient rapport is always without fail comforting and reassuring. His nurse is engaging, funny and always returns my call in a timely manner. The office staff is always on their "A" game. The referral coordinators is totally the best. I've had many referrals and never, not once had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for the referral process to be completed. if you want a doctor that will always tell you what you want to hear then I recommend you play Dr Google and treat yourself the best you can, however, if you want a true family practitioner that listens to his patients and always has their wellbeing and best interests at heart then I can guarantee you will not find a better family practice anywhere.

I've been under Dr Richard's care for four years now. I'm not an easy patient & have chronic health issues. It gets confusing & complicated. Dr. Richards has worked with me & my specialist. I can count on Dr. Richards to give me straightforward advise.

Dr. Richards is somewhat quite but does listen & that is a strong attribute.

Dr. Richards is the best, most thorough Dr. I’ve ever had. He cares about my total health. If I need a referral, he is on top of it. He listens, and documents everything I tell him so that he can give me the best care possible. His staff is great, and his nurse is responsive, knowledgeable and a delight.

Dr. Richards took such good care of my mom for the last 8 years until she recently passed away from Alzheimer's. She loved him and called him her boyfriend. We were so happy to find out when it was time for Hospice care that he would be her Hospice doctor. It was comforting to know he was also a big part of Emerald Coast Hospice. Those people are Angels on Earth!

Would not recommend. Dr. Richards' office manager phoned the evening before my new patient appointment to cancel. Dr. Richards will not see me because I was 'discharged' by another doctor. My previous doctor is also part of Baptist.
