In late March of this year, Dr. Ucciferri performed surgery to repair a severe partial tear of the anterior tibialis tendon in my right foot. Dr. Ucciferri's great skill has shown itself in the repair of the tendon and the success of the surgery. I also was especially impressed by the concern and care that was given to me post-op by Dr. Ucciferri and his wonderful staff at the Warren office.

As someone who works in a provider setting, I really dislike writing poor reviews. I am a firm believer in voicing concerns to the doctor and staff directly to give them the opportunity to remedy the issue…however, their lack of follow up and overall communications both clinically and administratively have been sloppy and this review is warranted.

I sought out Dr. Ucciferi for a second opinion and though his bedside manner is friendly, it lacks clinical thoroughness. I was prescribed a medication that requires blood work to ensure that my liver can withstand the treatment safely. He prescribed the rx with forgoing protocol surrounding this medication. Had he reviewed any of my lab history he would have seen my bilirubin levels are abnormal, which is a direct concern to the liver. I am also on medications that do not interact well with what was prescribed, thus resulting in my pharmacist sounding the alarms and pumping the breaks on filling. When mentioning this to the doctor in my follow up appointment, his response was that he was unaware of this interaction and proceeded to recommend a different med like it was no big deal. Again, no lab work discussed. (I politely obliged with no intention of pursing…trust was long gone.)

To add insult to injury, amongst my initial consultation the doctor performed a straight forward office procedure that I specifically inquired what CPT code would be billed to my insurance, as again, I am in the field and am likely one of the few of his patients that thoroughly reviews their explanation of benefits. Lo and behold, my suspicions were correct and his “billing team” submitted my 30 second procedure as a surgery, thus incurring a large balance. Salt in the wound is that the treatment performed failed.

I voiced my concerns to the doctor directly, his “billing team” (outsourced randoms with zero idea of what’s transpiring live in their office.) Multiple unanswered messages on the online portal, and with a gentlemen named Jeffery at their Warren location whom assured me he would be getting back to me when he returns from vacation. That was one month ago. Big yikes all around, please seek elsewhere that prioritizes patient care.

This office was accommodating, friendly, and professional. They fit me in as a new patient in pain and treated the issue. The Dr. Ucciferri is very skilled, gentle, and has a wonderful bedside manner, and his assistant could not be any more comforting. All I can say is thank you for making my foot feel better and I appreciate you care! This office team is the pillar of patient care and professionalism.

I would give no stars if possible. Totally misdiagnosed and treated a non-existent condition. Before you even take off your shoes and socks and discuss why you are there, they take 6 unnecessary x-rays to jack up the bill. He never even discussed what he saw on the x-rays. Do not make a late appt. staff just wants to get out of there.

Dr. Ucciferri is a the best foot Dr. there is!! I had surgery 2 1/2 years ago for my Achilles tendon and the surgery was not completely successful. I was in terrible pain I went to an orthopedic dr and another surgery was scheduled. There were complications and the surgery was never done! Finally I couldn’t take the pain anymore and was referred to Dr. Ucciferri. He treated me like I was one of his family members. He suggested I have surgery to release some of the tension on my Achilles and that it would solve my problem! I was afraid at first but I felt that he was right and had the surgery! There was little discomfort and now 3 weeks out of surgery I am feeling so good! I’m so glad that I went and saw Dr. Ucciferri! From the moment I met him I felt at ease and very comfortable! His bedside manner is top notch! I trust him completely!
