I was really hesitant at first about going to McFarland, but I have had nothing but incredible experiences at this facility. ALL of the staff have been amazing. The nurses have gone above and beyond what I would expect from them, they have been so caring and friendly and helpful during all of my visits. Dr. Renze is the best doctor I have ever had, and I always leave feeling good about everything. She is a great listener, she answers all of my questions, and I feel that I can trust her completely =.

Judged, compromised, uninformed, and unsettled is how I felt leaving MCFARLAND Clinic South yesterday. Being an experienced patient with a background in 3 Medical Institutions and a graduate from Iowa State University- there are slight expectations and simple responsibilities that I expect from greater institutions put into practice across the United States and Iowa. From my experience, this medical institution fails to achieve ANY understanding in the family medicine department and specifically Dr. Renze. Being someone who is familiar with drug screening per Thelien Student Health Center and the ISU Club and Sports department- I am very comfortable and understanding when it comes to going through this process. Even a random screening. After discussing this topic with another satellite MCFARLAND Clinic, I dug a little deeper and found that, in fact, these are not at random as the doctor can decide whenever to give you one on the spot. You could argue that that is a decisive decision and not at random. From a patient perspective I’m sure you can imagine how I felt when I was asked to do one on the spot without ever this possibility ever being brought to my attention, not even when I switched over to them from TSHC. Not only this but I was asked to pay an $80 out of pocket fee. I do not want to hear any apologies and if you do apologize- I know that there is a computer auto replying to these reviews. So let it be known!

When Rob moved from the West Ames location to South, I followed him because he's an AMAZING therapist and overall nice guy. I wish I could have taken him with me when I moved out of state.
