I had the best nurses. I’ve heard bad things about waycross hospital but honestly I thought they have improved dramatically. The doctors had bed side manners and the nurses where very kind and made sure I had what I needed. Thank you for all the hard work. And a special shot out to Jenna (my night nurse) who took real good care of me and was very nice…

Called in for ambulance possible stroke. Women were very nice took 6 times to get an iv. My blood pressure was very high so after cat scan and mri they attempted medication and ended up having a really severe headache. Nurse asked me to try and relax gave me medication that brought on stroke systems . Nurse was panicking to try and find medication for me. Nurse did all she could unfortunately she had to text the Doctor always! The hospital needs more qualified Dr's to take care of patients. Saw the doctor 3 times in 4 days

I had occasion to visit the emergency room at 12:15 P.M. on 11-11-24. . I was alone and apprehensive. My experience could not have been better - a wonderful nurse named Sherry saw my concern and began the process of evaluating my condition. My subsequent treatment was good, but the special nurse who I first dealt with was excellent. I wish I remembered her last name, but I don't. All I can say is Thank you again, Sherry.

I just delivered my son at this hospital, and I definitely recommend other mamas to do the same. Nurse Angie was an angel, and she helped me push the entire time. She kept me calm even when baby had shoulder dystocia after pushing for over 3 hours. She made sure we tried every possible pushing position and stretching position to get baby out naturally. Dr. Borders was also amazing, coming in and making sure baby boy got out as quickly and safely as possible after several hours pushing. All the nurses made sure I was informed of what was happening when it was happening, and every question I had was answered confidently. Everyone (And I mean everyone! From registration to all the nurses in L&D and post partum, my anesthesiologist, all the separate care teams I can’t even name them all) was so kind to me and made me feel safe. I hear a lot of people badmouthing our hospital, and I wanted to come on here and publicly say that is not true all-around. One person’s bad experience shouldn’t define everyone else’s. Give them a try if you’re pregnant and trying to find somewhere to deliver your baby!

I came in because of rapidly growing skin cancer. I was unable to get an appointment with a specialist for over 2 months, so it was suggested to me to go to the hospital to receive a biopsy and run a blood panel.. the doctor didn’t even get closer than 4 feet from me. Didn’t look at it, agreed that by the time I saw a specialist it may be “too late for surgical remedy”.. didn’t take blood.. then told me “I hope you feel better”.
Never in my life have I seen a hospital that couldn’t do a biopsy or wouldn’t do a blood panel just to check and make sure everything is OK. I was told recently that hospital is known as”Satilla will kill ya” by people who live in Waycross. I would rather die on the way to another hospital than to ever go to this place again

I went for heat exhaust.I also told them i had chest pain.I have COPD and Heart disease.They didnt even do a EKG,gave me tylenol and aleve.I got better pain med at home.They said my blood work was fine,even though i was tested 2 months in a row showing my white blood cell too high.

I took my dad who is 91 years young and we were in and out less then 1 hour ! They listened to what I told them and I am thankful because my daddy is clear of his cellulitis!!!! We caught it in time this time!!!!
