I had great difficulty finding a GP within the Anthem Blue Cross Optum network. My first few tries were dispiriting, to say the least. I happily checked out the office of Michael Burton, which is in my neighborhood. And despite the physical office's dated and barebones interior and decor, it has been a happy discovery. Robert Khatchatourian has been a delight as a medical professional and as a human being. Thoughtful, kind, professional, knowledgeable, approachable, charming and artistic. Even if I change health plans, I would go to Robert. And Bri, the front-office contact for authorizations/ referrals/ scheduling has been attentive, supportive and heart-based. It's just been a happy experience all around.

I suffered serious injury and it became apparent that my previous insurance needed to go - the only condition I put on that was that Michael Burton Medical Group must be my primary! Same day appointments (when needed) patience, kindness!

Dr. Burton's office staff is fantastic, competent and caring. And that goes for the office's doctors as well. Dr. Hauptschein has been taking wonderful care of my family for years. If you want state-of-the-art equipment, then this place is not for you. If you want kind medical care from people who really care about you, and who don't give up until they figure out what's wrong, then I highly recommend this office. They don't just treat symptoms, they treat people.

Dr. Burton has been in this neighborhood forever! And I've been a patient for 20 years. It's like going to a small town doctor. These people know who you are and they are there to look after your health. I almost always see Robert, the Nurse Practitioner. I feel like I can have an honest conversation with him -- that I don't need to lie. He's not judgmental or pushy. We talk about what I need to do and what I'm not doing that I need to do. The girls in the office are first rate, too. Cindy is always eager to help when I'm having a problem with a prescription. It's very personalized service in a clean, cozy atmosphere. Five stars!!!

I came here a year ago and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful though my experience with Dr. Hauptschein was the worst experience I've had with a doctor in my 28 years. The medical room was uncomfortable and dated. The doctor had little to no bedside manner making me feel very uncomfortable and unable to ask any questions related to my diagnosis. Rather than tackle the root cause, I was prescribed over-the-counter medication for a temporary fix. Additionally, I received a second opinion and found out that what Dr. Hauptschein had said was incorrect. I will not be coming back to this office.
