Overall, Dr. Murphy and his staff are great. However, be aware they are very high on up-selling products. The latest...they sold us nail polish by Dani Pro for $45. You can buy this on Amazon for $20.

Another item is Candyne Relieve roll on.

Do your research before purchasing anything from this office.

Where do I begin… I thought a lot about not putting my energy into this review but if it saves someone the hassle and added injury I feel it’s worth it. This was the closest place I could find that my insurance took, so instead of looking elsewhere I wanted to give Dr Murphy the benefit of the doubt.

First off, he is a nice person and undoubtedly has good intentions, but his methods are beyond antiquated. I had an X-ray done at the time of injury at an ER and was told to see a specialist. I have never had an injury like this one. I rolled my ankle and heard some snapping sounds. The bottom of my foot was bruised, and having numerous regular sprains I knew this was different.

Instead of advocating for an MRI, Dr Murphy chose a cast for a week and said no matter what the diagnoses was, that’s what he would do for it. It is beyond me that doctors sometimes don’t actually want to know what’s happened in order to give patients more options. His overly confident attitude left me with more bruising, after the cast was taken off, because it was putting too much pressure on an area that had fissuring. This undoubtedly hindered the healing process. After I advocated for myself with my PCP I got an MRI that showed me where the fissuring was among other issues.I had even told the attending nurse that the cast felt too tight, but she dismissed my concerns.

On the MRI - I have osteoarthritis, a fully torn ATFL ligament and fissuring among a few other issues that were more mild.

I finally made an appointment with a doctor near Orlando that explained everything that was going on in layman’s terms, and even set me up with PT immediately. Something that doctor Murphy never even mentioned doing. Dr. Murphy was also adamant that surgery was not the answer and when I brought up a newer surgery that augmented the ATFL ligament he clearly had no idea what surgery I was talking about and just advised against it, mind you I would never jump into surgery unless I knew I needed it to get back to being active. It was as if Dr Murphy just relegated me to becoming somewhat disabled. This is not ok in the least.

Please look elsewhere if your injuries need acute attention.

After putting it off for many years I finally had bunions removed from both
feet. So happy I chose Dr. Murphy for the procedure. Professional and
caring. His staff is also professional. I had researched others experiences
and was hesitant. The procedure wasn't as painful as others had expressed. Now that I am at the end of rehab if I had to do it over again I
would. I recommend Dr. Murphy for any type of foot surgery, etc.
Good luck to all interested parties.

My experience wasn't too bad, although he won't let you ever take care of your feet yourself. He treated my spouse and his daughter so badly they will never go back. For an ingrown toenail the novacaine never took and he never tried to make her comfortable. Since my husband, a diabetic, missed an appointment he told him to take care of his own toenails. He also kept trying to sell him fungus polish that wasn't beginning to work even after 6 months. Noooo, my whole family won't be going back to him.
