Amazing views, beautiful spot to observe sunrise and sunset. For those who enjoy sunrise, just come here before it starts and park for
free before paid parking time frame begins. There are not so many cars here at that time and views are truly breathtaking. We came Saturday morning and parked where we wanted.
If you are planing to swim, just be very careful due to very strong currents at about 75-100 yards from the shoreline. You can already fill a cold current mixing with warmer water at 45 yards from the shore and that’s where rip current can pull you in. If that happens, just don’t loose control over your emotions and don’t get scared, move along the shore, not towards the shore because that’s how it will keep pulling you further down. You will slowly be getting out of the rip current and you will see how it changes from pulling you in to pushing you towards the shore. Stay calm and keep walking / moving. But best not to get that far at all, especially when signs are literally telling not to go any further into the water than 50 yards from the shore line.
No pets allowed at the beach, so some people are upset about that. No walking on the dunes, no climbing on the rocks, no glass containers and so on. Just common sense rules like with all the beaches. Parking is $4 per hour but you can pay for minimum 2 hours. There are plenty of changing cabins, couple bathrooms and a couple of open public shower/wash stations for a quick shower and to rinse the sand off your body. They are located at the entrance/exit to the parking lot near the building. Overall we found this beach to be a very nice place to spend some time away from busy life and mortar of the city.
There were couple of fishermen catching some fish. One caught a baby bull shark near where the large rocks end. He pulled it from about 100 yards from the shore line. There are bigger sharks there too as well as dolphins and stingrays and other fishes. You can see some jellyfish there too. Overall I would not let kids to go anywhere deep and wouldn’t go too deep myself as well for safety.

Nice beach, easy access, easy parking, not extremely busy. Pay for parking on the app. Will save you a couple of dollars, there are changing booths and showers to wash the sand off. Only one place for food or drinks, looked to be bar fare, so bring a cooler. Just across the way is the light house, the area is residential, so not any retail stores near this beach.

Good spot to park(bit expensive) and for bathrooms, changing rooms, food and of course the beach. Can use the Tybee parking app which is very convenient.
