On 11/25/24
I went to URMC my left hip that I had totally replacement twice in 2022 by another doctor popped out and the pain was so excited I passed out.
Dr Allen the er doctor called Dr Boyce to pop it back in place.
I’ve never seen Dr Boyce before, but he popped it back in place.
He was very nice and knowledgeable, and I greatly appreciate how he treated me.

I have been to this office a few times with a friend and for myself. They ask you to get to your appt 10-20 early, but you always have a minimum 1hr wait from your actual appt time. I did like my X-ray nurse at my first visit and the student that took my history, although the entire visit took almost 3 hours and over half of that was waiting. I suggest revisiting the way you schedule your appointments so you can actually meet client expectations. My appt was at 10:40am, I should be not still be sitting in the lobby typing this out, waiting to be called into a room for a recheck. If I did not have an appt, absolutely I would understand the wait.

I Broke my foot October 23 it is currently December 12 was told I might need surgery i am still in extreme pain and the doctors could care less I call 4 times a weeks front desk answers then sends you over to the doctors line which always goes to voicemail and they never call back , the 3 appointments I have had they always seem in a rush to get you out they don’t take you serious about your injuries but always make sure they have payment before seeing you

Had been told that Dr Boyce was a great doctor by several different people. After an hour of trying to make an appointment and then lady made me feel like she was doing me a big favor to schedule an appointment. When finally got a date it was over a week out. Had already given x-ray and MRI just wanted the best for my son and some relief from the pain he is in yet just not important. Good luck with this office. Doctor might be great, but not administration.

Some people might not like his work but my family hasn't had any problems yet and I started seeing him August 2012 for a fractured ankle. Wait times are longer than when I first started seeing him but his patient list has grown considerably. Unlike some doctors Dr. Boyce does take time to explain things to you and then ask if you have any questions or concerns.

Dr Boyce and his PA, Mandy are good at what they do. However they should respect their patients’ time. They do surgery on Thursday morning and schedule patients for “bone clinic” in the afternoon on Thursdays. They cannot see “bone clinic” patients on any other day. Surgery always runs late. Meanwhile, back at the office patients with appointments have to wait 2-3-4 hours to see him. We all have busy schedules and deserve respect from him in regards to our time. He has a monopoly in Orthopedics in Thomaston. It’s like he knows that we Have no other choice but to wait. Upon making an appointment on “bone clinic” day, patients are told that that may have to wait as he will be in surgery that morning. Apparently in their minds, that makes it okay.

Great doctor however don’t expect to have ANYTHING done in a timely manner. Overall office visit took more than 3.5 hours for a routine visit. Worst part is they WERE NOT EVEN BUSY. Would not come back here due to that. We sat forever and wasted an entire day, on more than one occasion, for a visit I was told would last approx an hour and a half. We sat in the waiting room lobby for that time much time.
