I made the appt. for March 4, after walking on a painful foot for 3 weeks (injury happened on 2/8). I'm super active and I was needing help. I chose an orthopedic foot specialist after suffering for 3 weeks to get good results. I chose Dr. Desai. Dr. Desai came into the room and without asking me about my pain, said, "I know where all your pain is coming from". He pointed to my bunion which had no pain. I told him 3 times exactly where my pain was coming from (top of my foot) and he ignored me. He stated that the pain I was feeling was referred pain and not the cause of the pain. I had 3 different X-rays done that same day that he looked at before he met me. He said my foot was NOT fractured. He pulled on #2 toe and it did hurt, because that's the bone in my upper foot that is connected to that toe that is fractured. I left and knowing my foot was not fractured, went to PT, Acupuncture and Chiropractic to get better. March 29, 7 weeks since my initial injury, I was still not better. I chose to get a 2nd opinion and I found a new Dr. on March 31, who can see a stress fracture (looking at the same X-rays) in the exact area I pointed out to Dr. Desai. Dr. Desai did NOT LISTEN to me. He didn't have me walk, he didn't manipulate my foot to find my pain point. He was in a hurry and just wanted to pass me off to get an MRI, instead of spending time with me. He wanted my problem to be a toe problem and told me to get a gel toe pad to relieve pain. I'm 7 weeks into my injury and finally found out what was wrong. I was right and now there is a bunch of swelling, bruising and fluid built up in that area from walking on it so long, not to mention the PT, Acupuncture and Chiro care. Each of those doctors ask me if I had gotten an X-ray and if my foot was fractured. I told them no, since that is what Dr. Desai told me. I have a solid answer now and I'm wearing a boot and using a scooter and will be completely off of it for 3 weeks for healing. The new Dr. says that my healing should take 3-4 weeks total and I will be as good as new. Good news, just a bit too late.

Nov 2024 I had a consult regarding my hammertoe with Dr Bharat Desai ortho doc.1 hour wait in exam room. They forgot about me. I had 2 visits with this doctor, the first visit went well, we talked about surgery to fix my toe, he explained it in detail and I agreed to have surgery. I was given a surgery date. I had a second visit with this doctor to go over surgery details. And he was like a different doctor. He changed the plan without discussing it.He told me I should go to a podiatrist. He also made me uncomfortable by hugging me.

Dr Desai has always taken the time to explain everything that's wrong and what needs to be fixed, even if it's something you don't want to hear. He's been through a journey with me, he's been my ankle/foot surgeon for 13 years and he's never wavered in his fantastic bedside manner. He's also a skillful surgeon.

Re: Response from "Owner" below - I called the number referenced several times and the phone number STILL does not work (7/7/22). I can't think of a way to make it right anyway, besides giving me my $4k and my months of pain recovery back.

I cannot recommend lapiplasty with Dr. Desai. The cost was several thousands of dollars, the downtime is longer than planned, and the results were extremely disappointing. My pain is just "different" now, and my foot is likely bigger than it was before. My right shoes are still very tight and uncomfortable. I had a 2nd surgery to remove the hardware and to remove what they called a "bone spur," so another period of downtime trying to alleviate my pain and discomfort. Even with the 2nd surgery, my right foot is larger, looks terrible, and maybe more painful to wear shoes that aren't super wide. Definitely not happy and would not do it again. From calling for an appointment through exam by Dr. Desai, everything was wonderful. Receptionist was friendly and communicative. She scheduled an appointment in only 3 days. When I arrived, check in was simple. Dr. Desai was right on time and immediately diagnosed my foot pain. He suggested stretching exercises different than those I had been doing. He was very knowledgeable and experienced, and communicated very well.
One of the best medical experiences I’ve had.

Dr Desai was fantastic! His bedside manner is world class, made me feel cared for and took away a lot of my stress. He expertly repaired my Achilles and helped educate me on the recovery process. I made a full recovery and have been cleared to resume all activities. He truly restored my quality of life. I feel very fortunate and would recommend him highly. I give him the highest rating possible. He’s one of the best doctors I have ever met.

I was disappointed with my appointment with Dr. Desai and mostly because I never even saw him. My PT specialist suggested I go to Dr. Desai because I had an unresolved issue with my foot and he believed that Dr. Desai is amazing and can find solutions where others can't. So I made the 45 minute trek to Golden from Centennial to see if he could help me. I waited over 50 minutes but still thought, if he can fix it, that's fine. They took x-rays even though I brought an MRI again before I saw the Dr. After all of that, a PA who looks about 25 comes in to assist me. She was very nice but I paid money to see Dr. Desai and never did. She never looked at the x-rays just the MRI from someone else. When you make an appointment to see a specialist, you expect that your money is being spent to see him. The PA referred me to someone else so we'll see if I see a Doctor there or not. I guess I'm not that important.

Dr Dasai at Panorama Orthopedic is a class act. He’s personable, friendly, and highly skilled in his discipline. He is the most recent doctor I’ve seen at this clinic but I have worked with Dr Faulk as well as others. All of the doctors and medical professionals are first class. I highly recommend Panorama to anyone looking for quality orthopedic care.
