I, my 2 adult sons, and 2 grandchildren, are
all patients of Dr. Charles Owens. I became a patient right after he came to this area, in the 80's. We have all been treated like family. He is very kind, and has fulfilled all our dental needs. If we have a problem, we get in immediately, Through the years, the staff has always been very congenial and efficient.

My first experience was 2 yrs ago for emergency tooth pain. Was told to come right over and they would fit me in their schedule. Very impressed with the dental care and have been going back every since. Staff is friendly and professional.

Dr Owens is the rudest person I know. My family had gone to him for dentistry for at least a decade. He was always off, squirrelly, he never seemed to care much for anyone, was just downright cold.
One day I had to have a cavity filled, I was 13 and went back alone, my mom specifically asked if I wanted her back there with me because she knew he was rough and I didn’t like him. I stupidly said no, I was fine. I was not fine.
He shoved the numbing shot in my mouth, it hurt so bad, he gave me like 2 minutes and asked if it was working, I said kinda because it was slowly numbing. He grabbed another shot and I told him no, trying to explain. I tried to avoid it and he jerked my head towards him, shoved it in my mouth and screamed at me to be still. I was in tears because of the pure pain of shots without numbing gel and the fact a literal grown man had grabbed me, physically hurt me, and screamed at me. The assistant tried to calm me down and apologize for him but they still went along with the procedure.
Safe to say we no longer go there, and are instead at a dentistry in East Ridge where the dentist goes not physically or verbally abuse his patients.
I STRONGLY STRONGLY advise against going to see Dr Owens. If you have to and have kids or even teenage girls, please go in with them as a precaution.

Whatever Humana doesn't cover they will try to add to the bill. When you're there just for a cleaning. This has happened twice. Very unprofessional.

I had an appointment to get 2 teeth pulled here. First off let me start by the atmosphere, 10/10 and the staff were so nice and didn’t act like they hated their job like everywhere else. Im 25 years old and have the WORST ANXIETY when it comes to the dentist. I start shaking like a leaf on a tree and breathing heavy & crying like a baby, the whole 9 yards. This man had my teeth out of my head before I knew it. He asked me through out the process if I was doing okay & made sure I wasn’t in any pain. Thank y’all so much for a positive dental experience!

My wife & I just became patients of Dr Owens. Our former dentist of 13 years, was not in our new insurance network. We chose Parkway because of all the great reviews.
My first procedure went very well. Dr Owens did a great job to make it as painless as possible. Also, his assistant, Carla, is a real Sweetheart. The office staff are very polite & professional. Highly recommend Parkway Dental......

Well as soon as both receptionists would have finished discussing what someone's nephew was doing last night and someone attended the Taylor Swift concert. They may have had time to inquire about the next patient's needs. Priorities seemed to need readjusted in the front office. I wonder if the owner knows this, understands this or even has input on this.

Don't go here if you value your time. An appointment at 11am, we're 30 minutes in on wasting time. Why set an appointment time if you're not following up. Not to mention the shoddy dentist work, but that aside, am I right.
