My husband had a very serious infection in his right ankle after an original Achilles repair surgery went bad. Dr. Buchanan went in and cleared out the trouble. Also, along with the help of the strong antibiotic treatment, Dr. B repaired the soft tissue in his ankle. Dr. B skillfully created a flap over the very ravished & thin area and covered it in such a way that protected the ankle so no further damage or infection could occur. We had faith in God for healing the ankle and He sent us to Dr. Buchanan. He is truly talented and a great blessing.

Dr. Patrick Buchanan and his staff are great!!
Dr. Buchanan is very talented in his field of work. I was alittle hesitant about the procedures that I wanted done. But after meeting with Dr. Buchanan and his staff on more than one occasion to discuss more questions I had, he took his time to happily answer and explain each question. My procedures turned out remarkable and I am so very grateful to Dr. Buchanan and his awesome team.

Dr. Buchanan was my plastic surgeon for my expanders post mastectomy and my implant exchange. He did an amazing job and was always efficient with any of my appointments. His nurses were amazing about answering in questions or concerns I had. Highly recommend for any breast reconstruction that needs to be done.

I want to be clear that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Buchanan!!!!

This is just the beginning...
On Tuesday September 9th I had a large ganglion cyst removed from my right (dominant) hand. My appointment with Dr. Buchanan was always great! After surgery I was prescribed a very strong narcotic. While I am appreciative for the help, the pill was just too strong. There is a nurse that I talked to about excessive itching all over and a rash behind my arm/shoulder. I am in so much pain and have taken 800 MG of ibuprofen and 500mg Tylenol alternating and I'm still in pain. I don't feel like she cared at all while I was tying to tell her my issues. I just need help maintain this pain! Dr. Buchanan is awesome but that nurse today has put a VERY bad taste in my mouth about continuing care here.
I will be back with an update...

UPDATE!!!

After a lot of phone tag, The nurse agreed to speak to the doctor and they finally got my prescriptions corrected and I appreciate this so much! She even apologized so things are okay now.

I had a bit of a complicated case however Dr. Buchanan and his AMAZING team were there for me throughout the entire process. From communication pre and post op, education on procedures, keeping my husband in the loop during procedures, to even regular follow ups to make sure I was happy with the result. I've had not one but two great experiences with Dr.Buchanan now and his wonderful staff at Georgia Institute of Plastic Surgery. He relieved my trigger finger that had been beginning to become painful and interfere with my ability to work, in just one short visit in the office. Caring, efficient, and talented, he and his staff get the job done, when you need it most. I'll be returning back to this provider soon. Great job, and many thanks!
