This review is to express our profound disappointment with the level of customer service provided by the 2 women front office staff at this podiatry practice. While my father (a senior citizen) appreciated the care received from Dr. Ebanks, he has expressed reluctance to return to this practice due to the unpleasant interactions with the women at the front desk.

The situation began when the front office called my father the day before his scheduled appointment to inform him that Dr. Ebanks would not be in the office. This cancellation was understandable; however, what followed was perplexing and unacceptable. Despite the cancellation notice, he still received a bill for a co-payment related to an appointment he did not attend. This billing error added unnecessary stress to an already disappointing confusing experience., it became evident that the front office staff were more focused on collecting this WRONG co-payment FEE than on providing quality service or showing empathy toward a senior citizen. Rather than addressing the error with understanding and professionalism it was the opposite!!!!!!

Their attitude came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which is particularly troubling when dealing with senior patients who may already feel vulnerable in medical settings. Instead of receiving assistance and understanding, my father felt like just another number in a system more concerned with financial transactions than patient care-this is not highlands county norm of medical practice.

I urge your practice to reevaluate how your front office staff engages with patients, particularly seniors who may require additional patience and understanding rather than focusing on improving your financial bottom line. This will ultimately hinder your business and practice. I hope to hear back from someone regarding steps you plan to take to improve the experience at your office and switch out that RUDE front staff.

This doctor office discriminates against snowbirds HMO plans. And they're rude about it. They only care about the money they can get. They said they would see me if I self pay but wanted to rip me off for $250.00 just for a consultation. I have a medicare advantage HMO plan with a backup of Champ VA and they want self pay so they can get more money. THEY'RE NOT INTERESTED IN THEIR PATIENT JUST THE PATIENT'S WALLET!!!

Saw this doc last week and walked out frustrated and angry. He sat the whole time with his back to me, typed on his computer, and dictated to his phone all through visit. He was rude, condescending, nonlistening, and disrespectful!!! He even said for me to look up about a procedure he talked about, not teally explaining it to me! He didn't really examine my foot or answer any questions and he wouldn't even shake my hand, but wanted a Fist bump!!

I loved how thorough Dr. Ebanks was in taking/discussing my medical history as well as his care in examining and explaining my diagnosis. He seems to be a very caring individual who does much more than cursory care. I would recommend him without question.
