My husband had a new patient appointment where he was trying to establish care with Dr. Cooper, I attended this appointment. The doctor was super dismissive and seemed to have his own agenda. My husband requested some baseline bloodwork to be done since he hasn’t had any bloodwork done recently and Dr. Cooper coded the labs in a way that health insurance would not cover so my husband owed $500 out of pocket. The doctor claimed that my husband came in for a preexisting condition which is why he coded things this way but that was not the case, him and the office also refused to change it and correct their mistake when it was brought to their attention. Dr. Cooper greatly lacks bedside manner and should not be practicing medicine if he isn’t trying to help people.

I got started with Dr Paul Cooper and have nothing but regret. I have great insurance coverage through my employer which would include having basic bloodwork done which is what I wanted . After receiving a bill for nearly $550 and finding out from the Lab and from my insurance that Paul Cooper had put a wrongful diagnostic code on my bloodwork, I called Village Medical to straighten this out and was told by their front desk that they could change the diagnostic code and for me "not to worry" . This was reassuring as my Lab AND Insurance company both assured me that this is something that gets corrected all the time and that Village Medical should be able to do this and then I will be covered ..
Fast forward a week ( today ) and I call Village Medical to check in and I am told that it is on me and there was nothing that will be done. Apparently this is my consequence to deal with now as a result of dealing with a doctor who was not listening to my initial reasoning for coming in and evidently, not invested in my needs. I had to chase down my results and when I finally got ahold of someone at the desk they told me that the doctor said to tell me that
" everything's good" when I called in ...
no real follow up , no discussion regarding my results or levels/counts until I prodded.

The front desk staff are not to blame but I will 100% be leaving Village Medical or seeing a different doctor there as this is a common issue apparently with Dr Paul Cooper MD . I understand that other people have left nice reviews for him but I hope this establishment still takes the negative ones seriously.

Dr. Cooper was giving my friend a physical exam and while touching her stomach told her “damn I bet you’re tight”. When she left the room in the gown and told the nurses they were not fazed. She was in for a physical and asked if he could also give her a pap. He is inappropriate and tests women’s boundaries.

I am always happy with the treatment I receive from Village Medical and Dr. Cooper. I started with this practice over 3 years ago when I moved to Colorado. Good decision on my part.

Dr Cooper is exceptional. He always takes the time to listen. I never feel rushed. He is knowledgeable and follows through. He does research if he needs to and his staff is wonderful. I highly recommend him.

My mom has been a patient of Dr. Cooper for years. I take care of my mom's health needs, she is 88. I appreciate the care he gives and his staff. They recently implemented a new patient portal system, I really like it!

Dr. Cooper asked my 12 year old daughter who was struggling with depression if she was having a pity party lately. I was baffled. We were there to start antidepressants. It’s been 7 years and I still regret taking her to him. Please take your children struggling with anxiety or depression to someone else. On another note, he refused to see my mom after she lost her insurance due to her employer’s oversight even though we paid the difference & corrected the error. My mom had been a patient for years. His response when I told him we couldn’t find another doctor at the time, “keep trying”.
