By far the best medical staff I've ever seen in an emergency room! When we had a scare late at night over our baby, they were so good to us. They checked me over throughly making sure that I had not had a miscarriage or on the way to one. By God's grace, the baby was A-ok!!! I am thankful for every person from the front lobby staff to the ones that checked me out to go home. You will be in GREAT hands at this facility. 🩵

By far the WORST "emergency" care I've ever witnessed. My partner was seen at an urgent care for a foreign object in the eye but he passed out (due to anxiety) which landed him a squad ride to Piedmont Walton ER. Upon arrival and being informed of the entire circumstances the doctor joked with the nurse that he was probably going to pass out again. He then looked at my huband's eye using a penlight for about 2 seconds and said, "I don't see anything, except inward growing eyelashes." He then leaves. The nurse collected all the information which included vitals, blood sugar level, and the entire circumstancesand that my husband has not eaten and is thirsty. He then has a female nurse put EKG stickers on his chest. Now having been informed that my husband's anxiety skyrockets when discussing medical procedures and blood draws, he proceeds to tell my husband he would have to have blood taken. When my husband objects, the nurse then says, "Well if you pass out you are in the right place." He then leaves for 30 minutes. After waiting for attention I try to get a nurse's attention (there are 4 of them at the nurses station) and I am told the male nurse would be there in a couple minutes. I then went back in to wait with my husband. Several minutes go by and no nurse returns. My husband decides he does not want to wait in the ER all day for bloodwork he doesn't need especially when it is clear there is no concern regarding the object in his eye. I then go back to get a nurse so we can sign a refusal for care, and get my husband unhooked from the EKG and vital signs machine so we can leave and hopefully pursue emergency eye care somewhere else. The nurse who was sitting at the nurses station is clearly agitated with me but reluctantly gets up and bypasses me, saying nothing to me proceeds to go have my husband sign a form and releases him from the equipment. We then proceed to exit. I thought I should let someone know how disappointed we were with the "care" we received so eventually one of the non-clinical administrative personnel at registration desk made a snarky comment that I wanted to make a complaint and after digging around for a few minutes, finally gives me a 1-800 number for Piedmont Compliance. When we get home I have no trouble clearly seeing that there is an object stuck to my husband's eye right at the lid. I would suggest ANY other health system if you actually need emergency care. The day crew there on 10/06/2024 were more concerned about being rude and performing unnecessary bloodwork, which really seemed to be motivated by extra services to charge extra money rather than addressing the needs of the patient. If you are in need of empathetic and compassionate care, go somewhere else.

On 1/27/24, I was discharged from another hospital after a 10-day stay for major surgery. On the night of 2/1/24, I woke up with the worst abdominal pain I have ever experienced in my life. I chose to go to Piedmont Walton instead of the hospital where I had surgery because Piedmont was closer. That was a huge mistake. While I was taken back to a room quickly, I was left unattended and screaming in pain for 30 minutes until my husband found a nurse and demanded that someone help me. After another 20-30 minutes, I was finally given pain medicine (that did nothing), had blood drawn, and was taken for a CT scan. I was told nothing concerning was seen on the CT scan and that I likely had a stomach ulcer, despite the pain being in my lower abdomen/groin area and extending down my leg. I was discharged with a prescription for an ulcer medication and nothing for pain. The doctor was not concerned at all about the fact that I had recently had surgery with an extended period of immobilization. On 2/6/24 I could not take the pain any longer and went back to the hospital where I had my surgery. After extensive testing, I was found to have a blood clot that extended from groin to knee. The radiologist at the second hospital wrote in his report that the clot was visible on the CT from Piedmont Walton. I was admitted for a week, released, and re-admitted several days later for another week. During that time, I required aggressive pain management, a thrombectomy, and a blood transfusion. I was unable to bear weight on my left leg for a month. Had the doctor at Piedmont not missed the clot, I could have avoided the extra weeks of suffering. All it would have taken was an ultrasound of my leg, which any competent doctor should have ordered considering my symptoms and recent surgical history.

I will never visit this hospital again, and will advise everyone I know not to do so. They cannot be trusted to provide competent medical care, and have no concern for patients' pain and suffering.

I was sent here from an urgent care facility in Loganville. I was from out of town visiting relatives. I had ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF KIDNEY STONES. I told them that I’d had them before. I was vomiting profusely and an ambulance had to transport me to the ER. They ran tons of tests and found nothing. I just got back from my urologist at UVA and will be having SURGERY to remove TWO kidney stones. The staff was nice but definitely incompetent. My doctor said these didn’t grow overnight. I suggest a second opinion if you have to go to this ER.

I would have give 0 starts if I could. I had an emergency surgery there in September, they almost killed me..
Today I had lower abdominal pain...
I got discriminate service, also the Er doctor never came to talk to me about the results. 1st multiple RN s stick me to get an IV running, I have to beg for stronger Pai. Medication. My Er doctor didn't care about anything what is going on with me. Then I got signed Over to another Doctor what she never came to talk to me.. they discharged me without making sure how I get come. Since I was taken by the ambulance. I had no shoes , it was raining outside .. I couldn't find any uber to come pick me up. I'm vet from the rain , still in pain.
I do not recommend this ER. I will of course get over everything with my insurance, I have ben pretty much left on my own toxicated from the pain meds, and still ongoing abdominal pain. Dr Sareen, didn't do any exams on me for the results he send te RN to me.. I got signed over to Dr Njoluh, I never seen or talked either..

Teenage daughter was experiencing numbness in her arms so we call her physician for advice and was advised to take her to emergency room for X-ray/MRI maybe pinched nerve. Took daughter to Piedmont Hospital, told them her symptoms and they made her smile and pushed on her arms to make sure she wasn’t having a stroke and then said take her to her regular physician. Was told that family physician recommended come to ER. ER doctor stated don’t see anything wrong and again said we should follow up with our family physician.

We just received a nice bill in the mail for $980 for a ER doctor to have my daughter smile, push on her arms and tell us to follow up with family physician.

Today I went with my 4-year-old daughter with fever and vomiting. When I asked questions to the nurse on duty she did not answer and when my 4-year-old daughter said thank you, she did not answer. My daughter said it in English and Spanish and case she didn’t understand so she speak both languages she to her 3 times and she didn't answer so I told her the girl said thank you and there she answered. I know it is a difficult job but when you work with children you have to try to have a little more empathy for children.

Was told by uncle’s physician to bring him to ER for IV fluids since his kidney function was poor and he was dehydrated- ER decided to run all same tests we just had done at physicians office as well as ANOTHER urinalysis And a CT scan- run that bill up for this 94 year old veteran!! After 4 hours, one saline bag and a huge medical bill we left - will NEVER return- Nurses ( Conner) actually wanted to argue with me when I said all these repeated tests were so very unnecessary- initial nurse did not put his IV in correctly and it almost fell out twice- Conner would have to flush to get saline to run in his arm again. ALL WE REQUESTED ( and had a letter from doctor who sent us here ) WAS SALINE FLUID, took four hours but now you’ve been warned.
