Great Dr until you ask him to discuss something he is not interested in. I have been complaining to him for months about stomach issues. He has sweep it under the rug. Even told me “stop eating what you’re eating” and “well see your obgyn for an ultrasound”. Had an ultrasound done at the ER him and his staff proceeded with giving me the run around about getting a referral to a GI specialist. Would not recommend!!!!!!

Always seen within a few minutes of my appointment time. Staff is friendly, efficient and professional. Dr Hawthorne is very attentive when you talk with him. When he sits down and opens your file you can tell it's not the first time since the last time you were in. He's up to date on your latest blood work and what happened last visit. I hope Dr Hawthorne stays on the Florida Blue provider list. I'd like to keep him as my primary till he retires or I expire, whichever comes first.

Check in was quick and the receptionist was polite. While in the examining room the nurse gave us our vaccine and was very pleasant. Dr. R. Hawthorne was also polite and thorough. My only concern was that the waiting room was very cold and that seems to be the norm for this doctors office.

I really like the staff here and have always had a great experience. My only complaint is the wait time. I almost always have an early appointment time on purpose so it goes quickly before the office has a chance to get behind for the day, I would think. But I usually end up waiting in the room for around 40 minutes about every visit for the doctor to come in and naturally my visit takes less than 10 minutes. Last time I was there I could hear him having a full on conversation outside my door the entire time I was waiting. Maybe just be a little more mindful of your patients time as well as your own.

Dr. Hawthorne was great. This was my initial appointment with him and I am satisfied with my care. I talked to him about issues I was concerned about, he answered all of my questions, and he took care of contacting other doctors for me. We are moving forward with the next steps of my health and wellness. I am pleased that he is my doctor. Finding a good doctor is not always easy, but I certainly recommend Dr. Hawthorne.
