Dr. John Rivera Jr. has been my primary doctor for 10 years. Dr. Rivera exemplifies all of the qualities of an outstanding physician. He is attentive and caring. When you are seen by Dr. Rivera, he takes his time to talk to you and really understands your problem so that he can provide you with the best care. He truly listens to you by showing empathy in every medical and emotional situation. Dr. Rivera’s professionalism is without a doubt ideal. He is highly educated and knowledgeable. I trust him with my life and for this reason I recommended him to my entire family. We are all proud to call him our doctor and consider him part of our family.

What an amazing doctor and overall experience.
I just established care with Dr. Rivera and it was such a refreshing experience.
From the moment I stepped into the front office, the staff was very courteous, eloquent and professional. A breath of fresh air!
This continued with visit and I appreciated Dr. Rivera for taking his time to listen, explain the findings and next steps.

I had an appointment and showed up early as I was a new patient. I had Husky for a very short time when I first moved to Connecticut while I waited for my healthcare license to transfer to Connecticut for my employment. I bartended at the time and insurance wasn’t offered. I never used the insurance, I had it just in case. I was sitting in the waiting room and one of the office staff called me up and told me I could not be seen because I had Husky. I told her I did not have Husky and that I had Cigna for my commercial insurance. She told me I had to leave and none of their providers would see me because they legally can’t charge me my $20 co-pay because of Husky. I made too much money for Husky so I knew I no longer had Husky.
In that moment I was
1) Completely humiliated because they spoke in an open reception room with other people hearing the conversation about my private business.
2) Disgusted
3) Embarrassed for them and their business practices.
My husband is a long term patient so he convinced me to make another appointment after he went in and spoke with them regarding their poor treatment of his wife. My husband has been a patient for 40 years. I made another appointment and the day of my appointment I received a call from Dr. Rivera’s wife. My appointment was at 1:00pm and she called at 11:45am telling me I cannot come in because I have Husky….which I don’t. I make 6 figures working in healthcare (I’m also a provider) I don’t have Husky. AND…even if I do….why am I being SHAMED? I work with Husky patients all the time…nice people…maybe you SHOULD work with Husky patients…perhaps you’ll learn some manners and respect for people.
I heard Dr. Rivera is a nice doctor but I never met him because I was discarded as a POS due to an insurance I once had in the past.
My husband did give the wife an earful and she invited me back via email. Yeah right. I’d rather die of a stroke than deal this place again.

I have been using this clinic and seeing Dr Rivera for 12 years. This is s great clinic, with excellent profissional. They also provide assistance in Spanish and Portuguese. I do recommend Dr. Rivera and his staff.

By far the best Doctor I have ever had!!! Best bed-side manner I've ever found in a doctor. Very knowledgeable, professional and great diagnostician. He remembers to treat you as a person and not just a patient they push through.

Also... He's just bloody hilarious!
