I went in today for a root canal. Scared as usual, but soon realized Dr Boogaard is very very trustworthy. He made sure my tooth was quite ready for the procedure and gave me lots of Novocaine, checking as he worked that I was comfortable.
Yes! Was I comfortable!
Bless his heart, he was marvelous. I've sat in dentist chairs on two continents more than most. I thought nobody could match Dr Marcus Sherry, who retired.
Yup! Dr Boogaard is a match!!
Now I'm worried someone will find he's a such a winner of a dentist and that he'll go to Hollywood or places like that.
Stay here, Dr Boogaard. We appreciate you!

Avoid at all costs. Went in for a cleaning, was told I had to have X-rays before the exam- I don’t have insurance and did not want them. Had to fill out paper work and then enter everything again in a tablet. Employees couldn’t use the computer system and yelling at each other. $123 later, the dr looked at my mouth for 2 minutes and I was told the appointment was over. 45 minutes for 4 bite wings. Come back later for cleaning for extra cost. Took a day off and all
I got was frustration. I asked for X-rays to be sent to me, they said they would. Nothing. Now will not answer my phone calls. Never again!!!! Stay away!

The office itself needs a remodel, everything outdated and old. Not a good first impression. My first visit last week was ok. Lucy was nice, Dr A was pleasant but seemed nervous during my procedure and left the room once which made me a little nervous. I was also told I had a cavity that needed to be repaired at a later visit. Today I went in to have my sutures removed. The lady at the front desk did not acknowledge my arrival and was extremely rude.(Donna)She was mean and nasty thru out my visit and any contact I had with her.I was talking to the doctor about the cavity and she immediately said she would get me scheduled for a root canal. I just want my cavity fixed. Not a root canal. She was very bossy to the Dr which I thought was extremely rude….I am a retired physician and would have fired her on the spot for telling me how to treat my patients. They lost me and my wife as a future patient because of her attitude and demeanor. Please look else where for your dental care.

I finally found a good and reasonable dentist. Dr. Sherry is professional, skillful and personable.I have visited over 15 dental offices between Sarasota and here. He was highly recommended by a family member and I am pleased. I am a difficult patient, yet he showed patience and true care. In time I totally relaxed. I felt very little discomfort yet the work was in depth. Thank you Dr. Sherry. Will be back for the next phase. .
