I found Dr. Blanton for orthopedics through Riverside Medical Clinic because I was having pain in my knee.
He did a good job explaining the findings on my x-rays for both knees. He told me the best option for pain was a shot in my knee. I explained my fear of pain, but didn't feel much sympathy. I asked how he can determine where the shot goes in the knee & he was offended & said he knows what he's doing. I just wanted to know how it worked and how much pain there would be. It's hard for me to handle any injections.
Riverside Medical Clinic is always encouraging us to email their doctors with questions. I had emailed him three different times and have still never received an answer after months. I even called his office and was told he doesn't really do emails, but she would pass on the message. Have still never received an answer.
Why offer email, if you never view it?
After never hearing back, I decided to get a second opinion & went to another doctor. I got in quickly and he was very understanding about pain. I felt confident enough about a shot to do it and it helped.
Each receptionist at his office was outstanding.

This is really upsetting experience. So I’ve been with the clinic since 2008 and I love my doctors. It’s the way staffing in the billing department runs. I was told by one of my doctors nurse that my Chart is blocked due to an over due bill. I was just in February diagnosed with Breast Cancer after having to not grieve over my lost of my oldest Son that passed away on Christmas Eve. The bill will get paid but they told me yesterday that I would not be seen by any doctors due to my $600 bill. I’m going through Chemo and I just felt very hurt that they feel money comes before health.

It has been almost 2 months since I saw the doctor here, who was very kind. My issue is with the receptionists, who fail to send my prescriptions to my pharmacy. I have been calling two or three times a week the past month and a half, and as of today, my pharmacy still does not have my prescriptions even though the receptionists who answer always assure me they will send them to the pharmacy. At this point I feel as if they are just laughing in my face, and they think my health is a joke. I am tired of calling the office three times a week to be told the same thing over and over, it seems this will never be resolved and I am better off finding a different doctor.

Doctors and nurses are good and the times I have had to use urgent care , I can say they have treated me very good so far.Depending on the dr that is their as well. I hope they keep doing a great job but Receptionist this time around seem unfriendly like in a bad mood and was not welcoming. Smile leave your problems at home please.

I want to start this review by stating that Dr. Berke has been an AMAZING OB/GYN physician for my wife. The issue at RMC we ran into was not with him, but rather, with the ultrasound tech in the radiology department. My wife and I were very excited for the 20 week anatomy scan. Although we knew the technician could not confirm or deny the presence or absence of any anatomical abnormalities, we were excited to see the screen and watch the baby move around. This was not the case. The ultrasound tech had the screen turned away from my wife the whole time and did not allow her to watch any of the scan during its entirety (1hr 26min) and we all sat there in complete silence until the VERY end when a couple structures were pointed out and she turned the screen toward her. My wife was already anxious about this scan, and to leave her lying, unable to see her own baby on the screen was almost cruel, especially after having experienced previous miscarriages. A good bedside manner-heck, even a few words-would have been better than that terrible silence and minimal involvement we had with the ultrasound tech during what was supposed to be an exciting event in the development of our baby. Being in healthcare myself, I was very unsatisfied and disappointed by the tech’s behavior and lack of situational awareness.

Unfortunately, that was not the end of our troubles. During the very long first scan, the tech was unable to find all the necessary structures to complete the scan (not the tech’s fault - this was due baby’s positioning). However, when we returned for our appointed time for the makeup-scan, the tech decided to take her lunch right at our schedule appointment time due to her falling behind schedule - it happens, and that is understandable. BUT, after we waited for about 45 minutes for her to each lunch, she called my wife’s name. As I went to accompany my wife for the scan, she told me that I would not be able to come inside the room. I have never heard of this happening before. The previous week, I was permitted in, but this time, I am not? I’m fairly certain this is not an RMC policy - someone should speak with the tech as this is inexcusable.

Overall, my wife and I had an awful experience during what was supposed to be an exciting time. I would very much NOT recommend getting scanned here if you are pregnant, since she is the only ultrasound tech that works full-time. This is unfortunate because the doctors have been amazing at RMC.

I was seen as a new patient at riverside medical by Dr Song I waited 2 hours to be seen. My appt lasted no more than 15 mins and it consisted of me being shamed for my weight not even addressing the issues that I was there for. Was told to go on a vegan diet and my wrist pain was due to my weight. Very disappointed as a new patient and I do not recommend this doctor to anyone.
