Dr Kola is the best, I'm so thankful I was referred to him. He is friendly and compassionate, and he LISTENS! For the fist time in quite a while, I feel more like a patient than a profit center. He has offered a number of treatment options in detail to address my health concerns, and I am confident in his ability to help me going forward. His staff is wonderful as well.

have been seeing Dr kola
since he came to town at least five or six years ago. He is always been kind, very caring and extremely gentle! He Is one of the more compassionate pain management doctors I have seen.
Still that way to this day. I would highly recommend him! 😃👍

Dr Kola listened to me describing my issue. He then recommended a procedure to help aleviate my pain. He spent all the time that I needed to discuss this. No rush. Just professionalism. I highly recommend him.

The secretaries and one of the nurses made my pain relief journey hell by treating me with extreme disrespect over the phone and not believing me. They hated helping me and did not think I was worth pain relief because of their ignorant biases. Dr. Kola and Dr. Cole however are AMAZING doctors and very different from the rude staff. If you are younger, be careful- the ladies belittled me when I needed help. They refused to believe me as well, and I even told them I could pass a lie detector test. I hope the staff somehow learns about implicit and explicit biases about chronic pain patients. Empathy should be mandatory when someone is severely suffering 24/7, and I mean that literally. I tried to go back but the secretary refused, even though I am getting proof and told them this. They will answer without even asking the dr. I doubt they even have a Master’s, yet they make clinical decisions such as accepting and denying patients. I am not used to being treated like a worthless liar, since I am a person of immense integrity. I do not know why they would be so mean to a loving person like me who was desperate for physical pain relief. I got put in a life-and-death situation because I was unfairly dropped as a patient from false medical records written by Patricia A. Sullivan who works at SMH and is a nurse who met me for around 5 minutes and came in angry before I even spoke. Pain relief and empathy is not a joke. You can NOT “think” certain conditions away, yet the staff thinks otherwise. I always felt awful having to deal with their disrespect, especially since I’m well-educated (2 majors and a minor) + self-taught, and everyone who knows me well know that I am honest and I would never lie about something serious. The doctors get five stars, even though they believed the lie the nurse said, because the laws are very strict and do not protect chronic pain patients. I will provide as much proof as possible that I did not lie and the nurse did. I was severely damaged physically and mentally from the mistreatment and invalid abandonment caused by a nurse (Patricia Sulllivan @SMH) who went out of her way to hurt me.

Dr. Kola is not only an excellent pain doctor, but an outstanding doctor overall. His demeanor, his obvious concern, and his patient focus are simply better than other doctors I consult. He never seems to be in a hurry to "get to his next patient," but remains entirely present with you while you're with him. That's unusual and very comforting.
