Even 2 stars is probably too good but I felt bad. They were quick to schedule me an appointment but I agree with another reviewer that I read that this office is all about money. I paid everything upfront. After seeing the doctor, the first visit for basically just needing my gallbladder out, he started scheduling procedures , which I also paid upfront. After talking with other people and deciding I didn’t need the unnecessary test within days I canceled the procedure. I was told once everything was canceled then My money would be refunded. After many many phone calls. I finally did get to speak with someone in the financial office named Jennifer you can call and nobody’s voicemail. Picks up when you do get a voicemail Your call is never returned after I did finally get to speak with Jennifer. She was very rude and said that they were still waiting for insurance to pay on the office visit so they would not return the money I had paid for a procedure that I never did that’s been since August. It is now December my insurance paid as soon as they filed, which was another lie, Jennifer said they had filed it but when I checked with my insurance, they had not it had been months After the phone call with Jennifer. She did finally file it. I guess she realized her mistake although I’ve never gotten any return call and I still haven’t gotten the portion refunded to me. I can’t get a hold of anyone at that office to speak to about this. I continue to call but I continue to get no answer no voicemails or no responses

Very unprofessional! He is not a good listener and has his staff diagnose the problem. He has joined another Macon based practice and seems to be more concerned with the financial aspects of the treatment than the treatment of a patient. When arriving in the lobby there are numerous signs posted as to fees related to cancellations, etc. and insurances that are no longer accepted. I wonder if certain insurance companies are dropping him. I have had the same experiences as others here with miscommunication and appointments that were cancelled at the last minute. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone no matter what! Find a good gastroenterologist somewhere else and don't go anywhere near this doctor!

Very unprofessional office! The front office nor nurse practitioner does what they say they are going to do. Calling in medicine...I had to schedule with another doctor just to get the needed medicine because his office never would call it in..after several calls to them including the pharmacy calling them just to get one simple prescription. The nurse practitioner was supposed to call in the medicine the day of my doctor visit. I ran out few weeks later, and had to pay another copay to get the medicine I needed ( saw another doctor) since his office would not call it in. There's other GI doctors in this area, so do yourself a favor and move on to other doctors.

Oh gosh where to start. I was referred by my Primary Care Physician for stomach issues. The referral had to be sent over twice because they never got it. I did get ahold of Shannon and she confirmed they did get it and Dr. Layth wants to see me ASAP, I never received a phone call, I had to keep calling. Fast Forward to 12/4 I got my EGD done and Dr. Layth walks in the procedure room and asked me how do you know me ? I've never seen this Dr. In my life. He's my Dr., but I had never had the opportunity to meet him, I've dealt with the PA. I wasn't told anything about my results. They him hawed around and I was told by the nurse well, I see you already have an appointment on 12/17 and they will go over your test results then. I had my EGD done on 12/4, I had a biopsy done, I didn't even know what they biopsied, I was not informed of anything. They stretched my esophagus, I didn't give them permission too. I demanded my appointment be moved up because I was still choking on my food, I'm in pain in my stomach, I have massive heartburn still. Nothing changed. I met with the PA and this is where I'm livid. She didn't show me the pictures of my medium hiatal hernia, she tells me I have a mild Schatzki's Ring, but it's not that bad. I had to Google what the hell that was, I wasn't given any information about what's going on with me, I wasn't given a game plan, I wasn't given a where do we go from here? All, I got was " I'm sorry we couldn't fix you". I got a copy of my report from my EGD. On the report it " specifically says what Dr. Saymeh recommended for my treatment.I had absolutely no recommendations AT ALL !!. He signed his name and the information was falsified. I wasn't told shit. I'm beyond livid. I should be compensated for my gas, my co pays because they did nothing for me, I mean nothing...

Was time for my colonoscopy but also needed an endoscopy (biopsy) for celiac testing. His staff indicated I could not have both at the same time but after verifying it with Dr. Layth. So I scheduled the colonoscopy but meanwhile reached out to my previous gastro in Greensboro GA. and was told both procedures could be performed in one visit. When cancelling my appointment within the allotted time with Dr Layth, they explained that next time I would be charged. I returned to my previous gastro in Greensboro GA. (Conyers based) which is 2 hours away, scheduled both procedures, and the doctor said it would not take long at all. In reality, driving 2 hours to see my previous gastro is in fact more convenient. I do not have to make two trips for two different procedures. I do not have to inconvenience another person to drive me. I do not have to pay two copays. I do not have to take off work twice. I do not have to recover from the procedure. By dealing with my previous gastro, my appointment is with the doctor and not assistants. All in all, there is less drama and is all completed in one visit. I don't have to worry about being charged for a cancellation because I won't be back. I am glad I returned to my previous physician.

They don’t take the Humana Honor insurance anymore. Needless to say I have to pay for visit. Office associate stated she worked in back and didnt know They gave it posted at the window with about 30 other insurances that they don’t take. Practice has really gone down. Need a whole lot of training in office staff Can’t use your TFL insurance is you don’t have other insurance. The associate that helped me on Friday stated she would call me Monday. Went in and the office worker told me that Friday was her last day. I would look at other practices. Very rude staff

Dr. Saymeh is an awesome physician. Great communicator whom seems to care for his patients. His staff on the other hand, specifically the front desk are rude. Their sitting arrangement is not conducive to being customer service oriented. They all sit so they can't see who is at the window so you stand there hoping one of them will evidently turn around. Just today I was in office and my name was called so walk up and didn't see anyone so I just stood awaiting for someone to give me facial and eye-contact. Then as the receptionist was asking questions, I could not hear her because her back was turned towards me. They really need to do a better layout of the receptionist area for it is not in any form inviting to the customers. The way they are sitting with very little visual insight to customers, it seems as though the receptionist don't want to be bothered.
