I met Dr. Brown after I was admitted from the ER at SCH 2 weeks ago. He did a laparoscopic cholecystectomy the next day. I had no idea I even had a gallbladder issue until that visit when I was in excruciating pain that was so abnormal from anything I had ever experienced before. Dr. Brown was excellent and made me feel reassured. I later met Corey for a followup. The both of them showed compassion and seemed to genuinely care about my well-being and comfort. The staff at the office were great as well! I'd recommend them to anyone! SCH really took care of me and I'm almost back to 100% now! Every single person I encountered through this have been wonderful and went above and beyond!

There are no words to express my gratitude and appreciation to the Stephens County Hospital, it’s surgeons, nursing staff and ICU staff for the remarkable attention and care I received recently during my 10 day stay.
Dr. Cecil Brown is an exceptional surgeon who operated on me twice. The knowledge and care was only topped by his caring bed-side manner. His smile seemed to make me feel better each time he entered my room. His supporting staff of surgeons had the same effect. Dennis, the anesthesiologist was warm and was also very good.
I wish I could remember all the nurses names, there were so many. All were exceptional and always ready to help me, but I do have to mention by name, Mandy, who came by even after she she left her shift to check on me.

The entire hospital was clean and attended to my every need. Had I been in a larger hospital there would not have been the same due to overcrowding of patients and lack of nursing staff to individually attend to each one in the manner that Stephens County hospital provided.

Toccoa is most fortunate to have a hospital, surgeons, nurses and staff of their caliber in our county. We must continue to make sure it stays here!!
