I am 16 months post-op from the duodenal switch (DS) procedure which was performed by Dr. Stevenson. The procedure went smoothly and I’m so happy with the results of the surgery.

The journey this last year and a half with his office and the Dignity Health Weight Loss Center at Mercy Gilbert has been so wonderful. I have lost about 140 lbs and 64 total inches and gained so much energy and life back from this whole endeavor. I have gone from a 2X in plus sizes to a regular size medium and from size 22/24 jeans to a size 6!

As someone who had been heavy/obese nearly my entire life and who had tried so many diets throughout the years, this weight loss surgery was by far the greatest tool in helping me finally shed the pounds that just kept creeping up year after year. I have to stress that effort does have to be made to eat well and exercise because the surgery isn’t an easy fix and can be mentally challenging when food can’t be what you lean on anymore.

I am just so elated with the results and the energy and confidence that has come with all the weight loss. I’m no longer a bystander in my life as a mother/wife/friend (which I didn’t even fully realize the extent to which I was a bystander until I was able to be more active). My only regret with this journey is not having started it sooner.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I highly recommend that you ask for pricing before going to see Dr. Stevenson for a consultation. I was charged an unethical amount of money (almost $500) for a 10 minute visit to determine if I had a hernia. Unreal! I would NOT recommend Dr. Stevenson.

I had vsg surgery in March 2022. I've lost almost 70 lbs in 6 months and I'm only 7 lbs from my goal weight. Dr. Stevenson and the staff at Agave were excellent to work with. I had absolutely no complications and very little pain from the surgery itself. My acid reflux is gone and I no longer have high blood pressure or high cholesterol. I'm now off 4 medications and I feel better than I've felt in a very long time. I highly recommend Dr. Stevenson, Agave Surgical and Dignity Health.

Dr. Stevenson performed surgery on me to fix a hiatal hernia. I was told to expect a couple weeks of downtime afterward and informed of the risks of the surgery. He explained my options to me and didn't try to push drugs to "fix" the symptoms. I was up and moving around in no time and my stomach issues are better. I am able to eat and drink again without issue and the crazy bloating is gone. Life changing and I thank you Dr. Stevenson for doing such a good job on my surgery, that my recovery was easy and fast.
