Dr. Antigone Skoulas, DDS, was a lifesaver! They got me in last minute for a dental emergency, and everyone was so pleasant and professional. Dr. Skoulas was honest about my options, the prices were very reasonable, and the office was absolutely beautiful with amazing views. Hard to find a place this trustworthy—highly recommend!

Where to begin, Antigone Skoulas is amazing. I have TMJ and grind my teeth and I hate the dentist. I avoided this my entire adult life until one day I woke up and my teeth would not stop hurting. I feared it would never return to normal. I found Antigone by chance but it changed my life. She helped me put together a plan in place to fund and fix my teeth. We started with invisalign, a bunch of filling, and composite veneers help to sensitivity, protect my remaining teeth and to help with appearance. She is amazing with veneers and would recommend her to everyone.

DO NOT GO HERE! Low quality service and manipulative hidden fees. I went only for Invisalign so i cannot speak to her day to day practice but the whole process was rushed, sloppy and impersonal. She never showed me her “plan” for my treatment so when we got to the end, I had to ask to see what the end goal was and just accept that was the best she could do. They also double charged me for the service and when i brought it up they denied it until I had to have my bank investigate the charge. Only then did they refund the double charge. After that I literally never saw her again. The assistant installed my attachments and two hours later one had already came off and I had to return to the office because they forgot to give me the case. Never once did they apologize for double charging me or making me take off work to come back and fix their mistake. Cherry on top was the receptionist was rude and I heard her talking about another patient. She also lied when trying to fix the payment and claimed I used a Visa card, but I don’t even own one. The assistant was trying her best though and was at least nice, so adding a star for her. Lastly, they do not mention the additional cost for the mandatory retainers when sharing pricing at the beginning. It’s an additional $900, so any discount you’re getting is basically negated by the end. Please go to an orthodontist that cares about their patients.
Also keep in mind, they send you a link to leave a review after your consultation. A lot of reviews are from people who have not gone through a treatment.

Before coming here I had not been to the dentist in I don’t even know how many years. Dr. Skoulas is so SO sweet and very knowledgeable. Her staff is also so nice and help make each experience there easy and enjoyable. I initially came here for invisalign, but my overall oral hygiene was taken care of and has improved greatly! I always feel comfortable here and would recommend this office to anyone in search of a dentist.

Sometimes she even has her dog in the office, who is SUCH a cutie and loves to be pet and loved on.

The parking is difficult and your best option is to park at the sutter garage that charges $10 every 30 minutes. After taking “before” pictures, I received my trays, got my brackets on and was ready to fix my teeth! Hours later, a bracket pops off, I call and they tell me not to worry about it…. then another pops off. ..so they have me come in to fix it. The glue was applied so messily that it inhibited me from being able to floss my teeth. I once again have to go back to the office so they can remove the excess glue off of my teeth. Later down the road when I finally finish my second round of trays, Dr. Skoulas asks me what I think of my teeth, I respond “they look great!”
Judging by what they looked like before, they were a lot straighter.
She proceeds to remove my Invisalign due to MY personal opinion in response to her question. Not her professional cosmetic dentistry opinion OBVIOUSLY. (All while I have her ungroomed dog sitting on my lap without any warning, not everyone likes dogs and even if your dog is “hypoallergenic” that does not mean it is entirely safe for those with allergies who are usually allergic to SALIVA and skin cells) Due to my sensitive teeth that Skoulas was well aware about, the glue removing process was unpleasant for me. (Before I found out there were other methods of removal for sensitive teeth)
I pay $800 for my retainer, which was conveniently not mentioned in the 2k off voucher for “Invisalign treatment” that I would be paying almost 1k for retainers.

I realize once Im home that I have FULL BRACKETS left on my teeth ALONG with plenty of residual glue on EVERY tooth that had a bracket on it.
The brackets that were STRATEGICALLY placed by Skoulas in order to straighten my teeth. (How can those be “missed” or even.. “forgotten”?!!) Since this would now be my third time coming into the clinic for something that shouldn’t have even happened, I asked Adriana (front desk), if she could ask the Dr. if I can get my parking validated this one time due to in office error. I explain this wasn’t the first time dealing with this, but my first complaint. Adriana then proceeds to insinuate that I’m lying about coming in because of in office errors, and that nothing was noted in her books. (Like is this coming out of YOUR check? They just made thousands of dollars off me and others, they cant validate my $10 parking Because the job couldn’t be done right the first time Why would I lie about that)
Later I get a response saying Skoulas would honor my request. I go back to the office to get all the glue off my teeth which took quite some time, then Adriana leaves a check in an envelope for me for $9!!! NINE dollars. Not $10 like I sheepishly asked for because of THEIR errors. Nine dollars. Just to be rude and petty. Why she took that so personally, I will never know.
I then have Skoulas assistant use a UV light to check the glue on my teeth and she used a more sensitive approach with different tools to sand the glue down. (How considerate and professional, I wonder why that wasn’t just used THE FIRST TIME?!!) Did Skoulas put that UV light on my teeth, see ALLLLL of that glue and STILL send me home?
I STILL have two large gaps in my top teeth, along with slight crowding between two of my bottom teeth, making it difficult to floss with my permanent retainer.

Professionalism does not exist at this office but classism sure does. For a place that focuses on cosmetics, why are my teeth still not straight and left with gaps and crowding? What did I pay the Invisalign for? Why was a permanent retainer placed on teeth with crowding still? Why was I left with multiple brackets on my teeth by the person who owns her own office? Why wasn’t an “after” picture taken of my teeth? Shady, unprofessional, rude business here.
You’re paying for that 450 sutter rent, not for good & honest business.

Dr. Skoulas and team have done a great job on every procedure I've had in the office. They always make sure I'm relaxed and and comfortable before starting any treatment. All my experiences have been painless and top quality dental care.

Without a doubt I recommend this dentist as the top quality provider in San Francisco!!! She does everything she can to make sure you are taken care of and have as pleasant experience at a dental office possible. I felt like everything, all my options, were explained to me and I understood everything that was going on with my teeth before, during, and after all procedures. She effortlessly numbed me.. I didn't even feel the shot!

I just started with Dr. Skoulas, so I'll post again. She is very smart and informed and careful. She listened to my various issues with interest and asked smart follow up questions. Her medical advice was excellent. Her exam was painless. The staff got my insurance stuff handled despite my insurance company being obstructionist. The office has nice views, which was a perkl. I appreciated her pricing, which is quite good right now as she builds her practice. I am getting quite the deal because she will undoubtedly be very successful and much more expensive in the future.

Wonderful everything. Dr Skoulas and all her staff are incredibly professional, but also friendly and pleasant and attentive people. Best quality services, impeccable standard of service. I am no fan of dentists, but this is probably the first time in my life I am not dreading a dentist visit.
