I have heard many horror stories of nursing homes, but thank god skyline wasn’t one of them. The whole process for my dad went smoothly and I’m happy to have him back at home. Sandra in the administrative team helped me with all my questions throughout my dads whole stay and the nurses were able to help with anything related to my dads medical needs. My dad did say food was alright, but we brought him food whenever we can as well. Would recommend them to others!

Tomorrow, I’ll be picking up my mom from Skyline Healthcare Center, where she’s been for the past four months. She had surgery at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, and when it came time to choose a skilled rehab facility, Skyline was recommended by the administrator at St. John’s. Initially, I was hesitant due to older online reviews, but after speaking with Kori Custardo, the administrator at Skyline, I decided to give them a try. Kori assured me that the facility was under new management and explained in detail the level of care my mom would receive. His confidence convinced me.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Kris at the front desk and Destiny, a CNA, who both made my mom feel welcome and comfortable. In those critical first days, the staff showed incredible dedication to ensuring my mom’s care and comfort. Since she couldn’t put weight on her leg initially, their attentiveness to her needs was invaluable.
As the weeks went on, my mom’s condition improved significantly. She started taking baths again, thanks to the respectful and compassionate care of the nurses. Their kindness and professionalism helped her maintain her dignity during this challenging time.
When physical therapy began, the therapists at Skyline were outstanding. They followed the surgeon’s orders to the letter, working patiently and diligently with my mom. Their expertise played a crucial role in her recovery.
Skyline also excelled in other areas. Alma did an incredible job coordinating transportation for surgeon visits and off-site X-rays, which can be a challenging task. On the administrative side, Matilde was an absolute angel, handling insurance paperwork flawlessly and ensuring everything was in order.
The facility itself is impeccably clean, and their adherence to rehab protocols is evident. Everyone I encountered, including Maria (LVN), Abby (RN Supervisor), Fernando (LVN Charge Nurse), and Yadira (Nurse), provided exceptional care. While I can’t name everyone, each staff member contributed to making my mom’s stay a positive experience.
I’m deeply grateful to Skyline Healthcare Center. Their commitment to providing top-notch care and their compassionate approach made this journey easier for my mom and our family. Thanks to them my Mom will leave Skyline WALKING AGAIN at the sweet age of 84!

Skyline Health Care Center is a great facility with a wonderful and caring staff. I recently was recuperating there for a leg injury and i had difficult time walking and keeping my balance after surgery. With help and caring patience of the nurses and administrative staff, I made a full recovery. I am forever grateful for the help and guidance of the staff and administration from my medical paperwork to my Dr appointments and follow up care. I highly recommend this facility for those looking for a fast and stress free recovery.

Like something out of the twilight zone. Paitents blasting music late at night, wandering the halls at all hours looking in rooms.Scary place. Unorganized,employees were rude to 3 of my family members, would not tell them were I was released to, even though I was taken by paramedics to Glend. Mem. Hosp. due to Afib with my heart. I would not let my dog stay there!!
