EXCELLENT WALK IN CLINIC! I had 11 dog bites and was bleeding, in shock, and in pain from the experience. Pulled in and they immediately met us in parking lot with a wheel chair. I was taken directly to a room and was examined from head to toe. Several staff members were caring for me. Melissa was my Nurse Practitioner in charge and she was better than EXCELLENT! They cleaned all my wounds, xrayed most of my body, bandaged me up and gave me 3 shots. There are no words to explain how professional, kind, talented and skilled this team was. I hope they read this so they know how grateful I am!

I have just moved to Cook County and have never been to the center. Upon arrival we were greeted with the most unpleasant woman working behind the desk. It was not busy when we arrived so I am not sure what was happening with the lack of her friendliness. I definitely did not feel any willingness to assist us and felt as if we were bothering her.

I voted two stars to make sure this gets the attention that it needs because 1 star reviews often get overlooked. This is a one star facility. When a person goes into a medical treatment environment who is literally coughing up blood with tonsils so large and inflamed they impair their airway, you would expect care. Here at this facility every receptionist or clerk acts as if you, the patient, are an unwanted inconvenience to their day. A medical treatment facility should offer care and empathy instead of the cold ambivalent complacency of someone who views patients, the sole purpose of their job, as simply things getting in the way of their life. Patients are spoken to and treated very rudely, practically thrown clipboard at them to fill out paperwork.
And then after a ridiculous two hour wait you are thrust into a back room where with little to no communication is had with the patient before someone just swabs your throat and then leaves you. This is why people would rather stay home, stay sick, and progressively get worse leading to possible complications or maybe even death at its farthest extent. People should be treated like people, not an inconvenience. People are in pain, hurting, can't breathe at night because of inflamed tonsils, suffering from sickness that could be debilitating. This is why.
No one should go here if you are wanting legitimate medical care. They do not care and will dismiss your symptoms with hardly a conversation. You are a dollar sign to the medical "professionals" and an inconvenience go the people at the desk.

I took my 18 year old to Southwell in Adel tonight. We checked in at 7:20. At 7:57 the receptionist told a couple who checked in before us that the provider would not be able to see them because the Covid/flu test take to long and they would be closing at 8:00. I honestly figured they didn’t have insurance so she turned them away. And yes I know this is against the law to refuse treatment. I couldn’t believe my ears. Then she called us to the desk and did the same thing. I very nicely told her that we were there way before 8:00 and that the nurse could swab my child while we waited on the doctor. She then stated that the back was full and we would have to come back in the morning. Why didn’t she tell me all this at 7:20 when we checked in. I am very upset with the lack of concern from her. God knows what else we will get from sitting there for 40 minutes with all the other patients. I have excellent insurance, so this was not issue. We will not EVER come back. This was our first and last time here. I will be calling Jay Carmichael on Monday in hopes that he can get a receptionist that wants to do her job!

The doctors & nurses @ Adel primary care have always treated my son with the upmost respect and care. Today was a different day. The very very rude receptionist who could not wait to get to lunch did not understand what I was saying, yet passed me down, just to let a nurse clarify that she did not do her job. Very thankful for Dr. Hudgens nurse who passed along her respect to me, however after leaving the rude receptionist called me BACK just to be rude again. My son will never ever be seen at at establishment that thinks the care and respect doesn’t matter.

I took my daughter the other day because she was running fever etc. the doctor that day was super rude! I asked for an excuse and they literally fought and argued with me! The receptionist that day was also rude and kept rolling her eyes and catching attitude!! I wouldn’t even take my dog there if I had to! And I never will take my kids back again! So unprofessional!

Was very ill, call my Dr at Southwell Primary Care. Instructed to come in, got to facility at 9:30 a m. After MRI admitted to hospital, in room with IV before 10:45 a m. The staff, from food services to housekeeping to RN's everyone was professional, very concerned and friendly.
