Unless you have very good insurance, you will have very little contact with a physical therapist. Instead, a PTA will assign you an exercise then go off and do the same to other patients then come back when you're finished & give you another one to do - rinse & repeat. I can do all these exercises at home so basically I'm just giving the PTA the work experience they need to complete their degree. In 4 visits I got an initial assessment by a PT + a few minutes massage of my bicep, at my 3rd visit I got 10 mins with a PT who manipulated my shoulder (which is the only thing at this point that will work to break up the post surgery scar tissue). Last visit, another few minutes of bicep massage by a PT. I had one PTA give me an exercise to do in a way that I shouldn't - she caught her mistake when I was halfway through the set. I liked the staff but if you're not getting the treatment you need then what's the point? If you keep getting stuck with a PTA & doing the same things you can do at home, tell your doctor and ask them to refer you to another facility. My doc has now referred me to Movement For Life.

CAUTION ... My initial, PT evaluation at PS Sport & Spine, after knee replacement and in- home therapy, was with the center's Managing Physical Therapist. He asked that I execute a move, that I have since learned should never be done just weeks after surgery, and the result was an 8-month setback due to acute inflammation of my IT Band, hip bursa, and my hip joint. After 8- months of daily, constant pain and limited mobility, the medical decision was made that I would now need a hip replacement too!

I tried contacting Sport & Spine's corporate office to speak with upper management. I was repeatedly given the run around and told there was no one for me to speak with.
Be cautious with PS Sport & Spine. I will never refer anyone to their PT center.

Not impressed. Went there for an appointment today (initial consultation) and waited over a half an hour only to be told I was going to have to wait even longer because the therapist was busy doing other things (not with another client though). I can understand that other things need to be accomplished but if you are going to be busy doing other things, don't make appointments for clients at the same time. You need to be respectful of their time. What really made me even angrier is I actually saw the therapist wandering around doing nothing, so I can't imagine what he was busy doing.
In any case, I told the front desk I would need to reschedule since he wasn't able to see me at my scheduled time but would call them back to do so (fat chance). I also asked for a refund on my $150 copay but was told that they couldn't do it at that time and they would need to go through some long process to have it done. Needless to say, I'll be checking with my credit card company to put a stop payment on the charge.

This is the first visit I had made to this company. They are very small and when I was there only two therapists were assisting five people. I learned on my last visit that the gentleman I was seeing was leaving to take another contract and that I couldn't get an appointment for 2 weeks because they would not be a therapist on site. They are just one location that is part of a chain of physical therapy locations and my review is very moderate due to these problems and especially the fact that the gentleman that I saw for two visits was leaving and so it's like starting all over again and that's difficult especially when you're doing physical therapy.

I love Ismael, my physical therapist. He helped me to be pain-free. This place is very professional and serious about helping patients heal and becoming pain-free. Spine & Sport is the best. They also worked with me so I did not have to stop my treatments early due to lack of transportation during COV-19 and I eventually I used all my free rides and Heather suggest Telehealth -- perfect solution. I appreciate the special care I received at Spine & Sport.

Had my doctor send in a physical therapy prescription to Spine and Sport. I called them to just set up a look-see as I requested just a short meet and greet with a manager or someone to find out about their medi-remote services to avoid having to expose myself to potential covid 19. They outright refused to allow that as they are too busy and I would need to come in for an actual session appointment. Really just a 5 minute look-see The receptionist person was very adamant about no short meeting. What are you hiding guys? I expect they have a very good staff but management wise falls short.
