I suffered for years with shoulder pain, only to find out from an orthopedic doctor that I needed surgery which would be invasive and painful. I found Esser sports and reached out to inquire about the barbotage procedure he performs. Dr. Esser is a wealth of information and the first doctor I came in contact with who actually CARES. This is very rare in today’s world and especially in the medical environment. The procedure was inexpensive and it is too soon to say whether it worked but either way it was worth it to try and I’m hopeful it will make a difference.

Dr. Esser is by far, the best, most compassionate doctor I have come across. After finding out the problem I was having, he quickly came up with a plan, and even though he was completely booked, I was seen at 640AM just days after the initial visit. His treatments are the best priced that I have been able to find and his team is absolutely professional and a delight to be around. Wonderful people that just want to help!!!

Dr Esser is the only Doctor that I trust to care for my joints.   He has solid diagnostic skills, expertise with the most current non-surgical science, always answers my questions & genuinely cares about the best solution for his patients.  I have arthritis, swelling & an ATFL tearin my ankle.  We are planning to use stemcells to relieve pain & enable more mobility.  Dr Esser used PRP & stem cells to resolve injuries in both of my knees more than 5 years ago & I had good results.   He is a holistic healer advocating for lifestyle changes that nurture long-term well-being.  Dr Esser coached me to eat more, diverse fruit & vegetables that have dramatically changed my life. He alsointroduced me to natural anti-inflammatory remedies, including turmeric. I haven't needed Aleve or Advil since I started eating more vegetables & taking turmeric daily. Had the stem cell transfer procedure at Southeast Orthopedic performed by Dr. Stephen Esser with PRP treatment. They don’t tell you in advance that the local anesthesia you’ll receive has zero effect on numbing the pain you’ll feel when they drill into your hip bone to harvest the bone marrow for the stem cells. This is something that is done under general anesthesia in other practices. You end up enduring excruciating pain during the process. For me the entire treatment protocol had zero effect on my knees. It did not rebuild the cartilage. This was an extremely painful, expensive, and useless procedure. I rue the day that I fell for the sales pitch. After my follow ups and I reported no improvement they did nothing just said oh it doesn’t work for a small percentage of people and sent me back to physical therapy. After such an invasive procedure, physical therapy is what he prescribed. The whole thing is infuriating.

My experience with Dr. Esser has been tremendous! He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and his treatment has generated excellent results! For my hip osteoarthritis he performed PRP injections and I am already back on the Pickleball court pain free! While his services are world class they were very reasonably priced!!

The office staff was welcoming and efficient. Right on time being taken back to see Dr Esse. Dr. and his nurse were friendly, putting me at ease. First visit for me. Didn't have to make an appointment and come back for an injection. it was done on the spot. No waiting. I left feeling much better. Feeling confident with this group as opposed to my previous providers.

Dr. Esser was extremely engaged and pleasant. He took his time explaining aspects of my particular situation which provided helpful insight and resulted in me leaving the appointment more informed and on a clear path to recovery. At no point did he appear disinterested or rushed which unfortunately is sometimes the case with other physicians. His knowledge, ability to articulate information and overall disposition were superb and I would recommend him to anyone in need of guidance and/or treatment in his areas of expertise. A pleasure!
