I've seen Dr. Yuan for both primary care & sports medicine. Having a fair share of doctor's visit in my life, and working in medical technology, I have never met a more warm and welcoming staff or doctor. Dr. Yuan truly wants the best for his patients, getting to know them and providing care with their lifestyle in mind. He is thinking about the next step in their healthcare journey, minimizing the time it takes for them to receive the care they need. He and his staff are very communicative and I'm glad to have them in my corner

Nice staff for the most part but all the good doctors left. Dont expect to refill a prescription here. They make you wait forever, make you jump through all hoops and act like they are doing you a favor when they fill it. No its actually legally your job. You have to wait forever for an appointment and they force all kinds of unneeded things on you. You would think they would realize people in this day and age understand doctors are purely just crooks at this point. They are just after the insurance money. I'm 30 years old and my blood pressure was barely above perfect and Dr. Lewis suggested I take BP medication. This is what is wrong with American Healthcare, UCSD is bad at every location. We had a horrible experience giving birth and the doctors aren't any better. Avoid avoid avoid

I don’t know what’s wrong with the office staff here. They NEVER respond to mychart messages… I never know if my doctor receives the information or not. FORGET getting a prior auth … I waited a month bc I kept being told it was in process- only to call my insurance and find out that they withdrew it all together !! I called and they said it was a mistake and they would resubmit … but they didn’t provide all the information and it was denied! I called my insurance and they were the ones who told me they didn’t submit everything needed for approval. Meanwhile, time is going by and I don’t have my medication bc of their incompetence. Literally NO ONE will ever return a message.
Doctors have been great, but absolutely AWFUL office staff - good luck if you go here

My experience has been so bad with this location. Rude and incompetent office staff. Miscommunication between PCP and her staff. Good luck getting a prior auth done in this office. I am firing them and finding a place where I get the treatment I deserve as a patient who has a private PPO insurance, which obviously they are not capable of handling. I know the clinic manager name and I will reach out for details. If anyone else cares in management, I am happy to discuss further what went wrong from labs not being ordered and MAs being rude and incompetent not delivering the messages properly to my doctor to a prior auth that is now a month old without any work done on it. Even the ucsd coaching team said “we dont know what’s going on with this location” ignoring patients messages and health needs is simply not acceptable. Dr. Zaheer can use a better team and communication with staff.

We moved from another state and picked this place since it was convenient and looked nice. But it wasn't a good match for us. Dr.Hussain didn't connect and she's never really treated anything we went to the doctor for, always issue a referral, even for something as simple as mild dandruff. She issued a referral to dermatology dept, which had a long wait for an appointment, without even seeing my child. By the time the appointment came, I had gotten her an over the counter dandruff shampoo and her scalp was all clear.

Dr.Hussain also ask kids to strip and wear a hospital gown which my kids do not like. We have had pediatric visits for the past 10 years and my kids didn't have to strip after age 3 for well visits. It wasn't a big deal, but a bit unusual for them.

Nurses we met are nice, except for one, who was very mean. In one occasion My toddler was getting her shots. Instead of distracting and talking nicely to my little one (like our previous Dr's office nurses did) that nurse grabbed her arm and said "I'm going to give you shots now". My poor baby was so brave and nodded, tears streaming down her eyes.
I wish they had other doctors, because the facility is very nice and the location is convenient.

The lab here definitely needs improvement. The particular front desk staff who checked me in today was cold and rude. Surprisingly, that same staff was doing my blood draw! How should I describe it— It was the worst blood draw ever in my life. First off, she didnt even bother to ask me which arm I’d like to be drawn. When I told her left, there was literally very little room on the left side so she had to squeeze everything into that tiny space. She placed the rack of 6-7 tubes on the small arm rest which I was so worried that they were just going to fall to the ground.. the blood draw itself hurt so much that made me very dizzy afterwards. Even worse was that they didnt even have bottle water or ice packs ready to handle these situations… terrible experience.

Dr. Elias is well spoken and knowledgeable about all of my many idiosyncrasies and challenges as a long term survivor of brain cancer with complex medications that help me live a high quality life. Thank you to the entire Care Team that keeps me healthy and living a great life.
