The providers here are truly amazing. Ashley has been a blessing truly! Hate the merger with UC health becuase customer service has gone down the drain. It’s impossible to actually speak with anyone at this actual location. They ladies at the front desk are friendly and it’s sad we have to go through another line to set up appointments. They are rude and don’t seem to know anything about the other locations. Only down side is it would be nice if they could post their lunch hours online or their phone line that way when you’re rushing over here on your lunch break it’s not a total waste of your time. 🙂

I'll start with saying that Dr. Lohr was my favorite doctor that I have ever had. But back in the spring, she accused me of leaving a negative review and asked me to remove it. I'm now posting to show them that that obviously was not my account, as I showed her in person. I highly doubt that that request came from her, as my ex boyfriend calls on the office for work and has told me numerous times how rude the owner is.

This was obviously quite a bit ago, but since I recently got a call about my next annual, I decided it was finally time to say something.

p.s. Last I was there, most of the front desk workers were very kind and helpful, but there was one who was always invalidating what I was experiencing and extremely rude. Wish I remembered her name, but hopefully she's gone. Of course healthcare is hard to work, I also work in it, but that's no excuse to treat your loyal patients the way that I was treated.

Please read entire review for context.

Just to make my score clear: I am giving the actual Doctor's Office, its staff, doctors, front desk people, lab workers, medical assistants, etc, a full 5 stars.

I am giving the new parent organization that they've merged with Zero.

Let me explain why.

I've been seeing a physician here for years, and i've been singing her praises for about as long. She's a literal superhero: super knowledgeable, incredibly compassionate, prompt, patient, and kind. She knows more and is quicker on the draw than some MD's i've seen in my lifetime. Beyond that, she's just a crazy good person as well. We've laughed and bantered during appointments every time i'm there. It keeps things super casual and friendly.

I'll extend the same compliment to the staff that works there. Every medical assistant is amazing. The other PA's I've seen when mine is out have all been fantastic. The Lab Staff is great. Heck, even the front desk people have always acted like they have my back.

So why am I knocking points off their score?

The integration with their new parent organization at UCHealth has been a nightmare.

Keep in mind that none of this is reflective of the actual staff at the clinic.

* They dropped me the day before an important appointment because the parent organization doesn't take the same insurance plans that the office did before. They refused to grandfather me in.
* The new appointment call center is awful. Every person I speak to is trying to get me off the phone as fast as they can, and it's a tossup if I get someone who's friendly or rude.
* None of those people seem to be able to answer questions well, either. The call center will throw me at the front desk staff of the clinic when they can't help. As I mentioned above, *those* people are actually friendly, but there's a disconnect that sits between them and the parent organization, so they can't help me as well as they might hope to.
* Getting transferred around the UCHealth Call Center is a lesson in futility as well. I've lost track of the times I've been disconnected while transferring.

The end result of weeks trying to figure this stuff out? I'm still unable to make an appointment that will be covered by insurance unless I pay out the nose in cash or wait to then subscribe to one of the premier plans that UCHealth deigns to accept.

I just want to see my Doctor. The Doctor that I trust. The Doctor that has taken amazing care of me for years. It feels like a giant health conglomerate has come in and pulled the rug out from underneath me. Now, i'm left scrambling to either find a solution to the insurance problem, which isn't easy because of the way that insurance locks you in, paying cash (which is not cheap), or finding another doctor, which is a task in and of itself, especially when you've got one that you respect sitting just out of reach because UCHealth came and stepped in the middle of that patient/physician relationship.

So let me boil this down for someone in the market for a new Dr's Office. This is no doubt a great place to go.

But shame on UCHealth for coming in and unilaterally ousting a section of this clinic's patient portfolio without grandfathering people in. You literally cut people off without more than 24 hour notice before an appointment. And shame on UCHealth for not being ready to handle even basic questions regarding this integration or help people who are just trying to see their Doctor. None of that is the fault of the Dr's Office. All of it rests squarely on the shoulders of a massive organization who makes near one billion dollars in profit.

It's been frustrating beyond what I can convey in words. UCHealth can and should have been ready to weather that storm.

They weren't, and the person left holding the bill is the patient.

Thank you for your time reading. To reiterate, I love everyone at the actual clinic. Can I just wish that they hadn't gone through with this awful merger?

I used this practice 4 years too long. They do business (poorly,) but they do not do healthcare. There is no personal attention, no relationship, no accountability when they screw up the schedule and waste half your day, etc. All communication is done through their portal, and the pharmacy even told me they made everything difficult.

After many frustrating experiences, I told the office manager I would be finding a new practice. She didn’t ask why and did not care, but she did curtly let me know I would need to pay for each page of my medical records if I expected to have my own copy in hand.

I wish I could leave two separate reviews - one for my amazing provider and one for every other incompetent, rude person and broken procedure at that office.

My provider is Kelli Vitale, who I can’t speak more highly of. She listens to your needs as a patient and is more concerned for every aspect of your health than any doctor I have ever had. She is kind and ensures a level of medical care that is beyond impressive. If she wasn’t there I never would’ve returned after my initial appointment.

Unfortunately, the one star review is for the rest of this office. Every person on the front desk staff is rude and terse anytime I call. They are notably the worst part of this disappointing practice. Paige and Trisha are the ones I’ve spoken to most recently who have been terrible but the rest of the front desk staff are just as bad or worse.

It is utterly impossible to talk to anyone on the phone, you’re simply transferred from voicemail to voicemail.
There seems to be incredibly high turnover with the medical assistance staff since I talk to a new one almost every month.
Refilling a medication is an absolute headache.

It should say everything you need to know about how wonderful Kelli is that I deal with the rest of this place just to see her.

Overall I wouldn’t refer my worst enemy to this office. Save yourself the frustration and DO NOT GO HERE.

Libby is a superstar, she believed I was in serious pain from the get go when no one else did and she went above and beyond to not only be a shoulder to cry on but she fought for me to get the help I needed and I wouldn't be on the path to healing if it wasn't for her. The front desk was always quick to get me scheduled and her medical assistants were so helpful and were excellent communicators. I would probably be on my way to being in a wheelchair if it wasn't for Libby. Now I'm healing after I got the help that I needed. I owe so much gratitude to Libby, I'm very lucky to have her as my health care provider ?

switched to Peak Med based on my wife’s recommendation as my current practice was changing personal. The first visit was very extensive with the doctor asking lots of questions. Apparently he does not take notes very well and doors respond to emails. He provided his email during the initial visit, but has not done well with any follow up. Be aware, do not sign up with them as they do not take adequate notes or accurately read or convey previous prescriptions from your most recently used provider. switching providers after 40 days of missed communication and reluctance to follow up with insurance companies or pharmacies.

I do have to say, Eric Adrid has been pretty helpful in the past and seems to actually listen to me and my concerns. I was unable to see him after my car accident though, except when he stopped by for a quick personal visit to see how I was doing. Some of the nurses/doctor's aids are very good too. The Blood Lab staff do an excellent job finding my deep veins, and are very friendly. A few of the front desk staff are very helpful and friendly too, but others aren't. This office has some great people, but unfortunately it's not enough to keep me here as a patient after my latest experience after a pretty bad car accident. It was easily the worst treatment I've ever received at any medical facility ever.

Some of the front desk staff are very rude and unhelpful. I'll never forget seeing 2 of them arguing with eachother in front of the lobby, or the time one of them snapped at me when I asked about using my auto medical insurance, "You have to have been in a car accident for that!" LIKE EXCUSE ME I had just got out of the hospital after being t boned by a drunk driver and my car was totalled. Maybe don't assume what a patient has been through, or treat them like an idiot? My lawyers specifically told me to ask them about it. They refused to help at all with that, told me it had to be "done on the back end" whatever that means.

The doctors barely have any time to see you. Visits always feel rushed now. I don't remember it being so bad before, and I've been a patient here since 2015.

I had pain in my neck and shoulders from whiplash, and I had to repeatedly call and beg the doctor to send me to a physical therapist and prescribe more muscle relaxers, not even an opiate, just muscle relaxers. She literally kept telling me "You should be better already" a month after I was struck directly on my driver door by a large pickup truck at 55mph and knocked across 3 lanes of the road into the grass! With damage to my kidney, spleen, 2 broken ribs, whiplash, and a totalled car that was hit so hard the door has a hole in it! I'm lucky to be alive and walking, yet she was acting like I was making things up, despite the hospital paperwork I had released to her.

She didn't say anything at all when I mentioned my neck and shoulder pain after the accident. I never received any type of diagnosis for it until I saw a physical therapist. I had to ask her to refer me, she never once suggested it herself. Physical therapy should have been the first thing she recommended, that's like the go to for neck and shoulder pain. It's like she didn't believe me or didn't care. Do you know how stressful it is for every movement to cause pain and a doctor just says, "You should be feeling better by now"?

Then she gave me multiple referals that would not work. Referred me to 2 different trauma centers who both were confused as to why I was calling. One said they don't treat patients for broken ribs or damaged organs, and the other one said I simply didn't need a follow up with a trauma team. Referred me to a urologist (for a non STI infection from a catheter in the ER) that had none of my information when I called after not hearing back in over a week. By the time I was able to get an appointment, my immune system had already fought off the infection without treatment, thank God.

Then they sent debt collectors after me for a $50 charge from 2020 that escaped my notice, while I'm unemployed from a car accident.

I've been a patient here since like 2015, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. The only thing they did that really helped me after my car accident was refer me to a physical therapist, after I asked several times over the phone for them to do so.
