The staff was very nice, caring and professional. However, not enough to make the $300 bill worth it. I used UConn Health's online estimate tool to estimate the cost of urgent care, and while the overall bill was accurate, it claimed insurance would've paid for the full cost. Insurance ONLY PAID FOR $229. So either they have some serious bugs in that tool that need to be updated, or they purposefully fudged the tool so clueless consumers will get ensnared in their greedy trap.

In addition, when calling UConn Health Urgent Care, they didn't provide any further details to the costs of the visit than the very broad categories of "professional care" for $240, "urgent care" for $235, and the cost of the strep test for $54. So were the two cans of ginger ale that I drank $100 each? Was the wheelchair they placed me in for being unsteady and exhausted another $100? I guess I'll never know.

Either way, use UConn Health and this clinic at your own financial risk. (Also, UConn Health was caught overbilling on Medicare by the federal government and fined $185,000, so they have a history)

The staff here are fine and the PA that helped me did a thorough job, however, I underestimated how expensive their services are. I have good medical insurance and went for a chest x-ray and got charged over $700, of which insurance only covered $400. $240 for “professional fees”, $294 for radiology, and $235 for “urgent care”. I normally only have to pay a $30 copay and that’s all. I highly urge you to go to a different urgent care and save your money.

staff and doctors were great. significant billing issues where they charged us for an ER visit and not an urgent care copay. Been in contact with insurance company and all the way up to the supervisor of the billing department at urgent care with nothing resolved yet. I will update this review if it gets resolved for the normal urgent care copay

I've been to Uconn Health Urgent Care in Storrs a number of times myself or with family members. I was surprised at some of the negative reviews as I have only had very good service there, like 100% of the time. I've always had thoughtful, helpful and discerning staff. I have a medical background so I have a decent eye for assessing such things. I recommend them.

We’ve had mixed experiences. We brought our 3 year old son for a cut on his head and they gave him a staple (and didn’t warn him before doing it) and that was pretty traumatizing. His primary doctor couldn’t believe they didn’t just do glue. However, we went today because he had some wheezing and the front desk/x-ray technician was AMAZING. My son couldn’t have had a better experience and shes just the best

Hi, my name is Fabiola Ferreira. My son went to URGENT CARE yesterday. He was feeling a lot of pain in his foot. He arrived there at 6:12 p.m. They did the triage and he was told the doctor would come back with the results. Two hours later, the office was closing and no one was there, just him. He called me. One of the employees, who was already turning off the lights, heard him talking to me and opened the door and saw him. He came back, put on a doctor's or nurse's outfit. He said that he had a broken foot. My son asked him if he would proscribe him anything, the guy handled him a TAPE and told him not to move for a month. what king of joke is this? He said he was free to go and he left at the same time locking the clinic, and he left. They were not professional. Left my son waiting for 2 hours and forgot about him and was locking the place while he was still there waiting. What kind of a joke is it to handle a TAPE to someone with a broken foot? I don’t have words to describe how disappointed I am with UConn Urgente CARE.

Doctors and PAs are good but some of the staffs are not as good. I encountered loud voices in the hallway and double billing the copies which force me to call them then call the other office to dealing with their mistakes.
