Good patient care. However they collected payment from both me and my insurance company for the same amount / service. Only because I track these things so closely did I catch it. I called them, and after hold-times and transfers to numerous people, I finally got them to admit to this and they said they would reimburse me. That was six weeks ago - still no reimbursement. And by hiding a phone screening process that involves computer holds, transfers, disconnects, etc they know that I am without recourse.

On a ski vacation in Summit County, I suffered a severe bout of bursitis in my knee, secondary to my fairly recent knee replacement. I was in excruciating pain, and unable to ski- therefore my vacation being ruined. I went to Vail -Summit Ortho urgent care, and received top notch treatment. The PA that I saw was excellent, and she noticed something on my X-rays my regular ortho had not ever mentioned to me. This newfound issue wasn’t giving me trouble at the moment, but it gave me insight as to what I need to discuss/follow up with my regular doctor on.
Thankfully a well placed cortisone injection had me skiing like a mad woman the next day. I am so grateful for the exceptional treatment I received at this clinic. THANK YOU!!!

A great Sunday with ski team went a little south when my daughter injured her knee. She was able to make it down the mountain so that we could take her to the great team at VSO Urgent Care in Frisco. Since VSO partners with my kids local sports teams, there was no doubt of which orthopaedic group we'd trust. From the front desk staff, to the PA, to the x-ray tech, our girl was cared for kindly and professionally. Luckily it's low-grade sprain, which eased our minds - and our wallets, since it's not billed as an emergency room visit. Like our experience of quickly getting in and out of the practice, Lily should be back at hockey, skiing, and gymnastics soon! Thanks VSO!

My husband and I live in Summit County and are very active aging adults and therefore have a fairly high risk of injury. As a result we have both had surgeries here. Dr Joseph did a fantastic job on my humerus at the wrist, and my husband's ACL replacement by Dr Janes turned out far better than some of our friends' experiences. Both of our surgeries were somewhat elective to improve quality of life, although they were covered by insurance. I loved how the PA explained what to expect if I choose not to have the surgery, and was not at all pushing me towards having it. They also explained to my husband what to expect if he didn't have his surgery. We hope we don't need more surgeries, but if so, Vail Summit is our go-to place!

Everyone here was super friendly and professional. I had fractured my wrist at Copper Mountain about an hour prior to walking into their office. I was seen immediately after filling out paperwork and the receptionist, PA and X-ray tech were all as nice as could be. Answered all questions I had too as this is the first time I’ve broken a bone and I was visiting from out of town.

I''m not sure where to begin. The worst experience. My family and I were in Breckenridge for a week long ski vacation. My teenage son fell on the 3rd day and badly hurt his ankle. I called VSO because they advertised on their website skip the wait at the ER and save money and time by coming to their Urgent Care. This especially was appealing during COVID. I called and spoke to a receptionist who said there was no wait time and come in with your son. I gave them our insurance information over the phone and asked if they accepted it and the receptionist said they did. My husband and son headed over and were seen pretty quickly. My husband gave them all of our insurance information and never did any one actually look to see that they in fact did not accept our HMO, but apparently that is my job or responsibility to know all of the benefits of my insurance(per the director of finance), especially in an emergency, in a pandemic, and out of state. My son had to get x-rays on his ankle and it was broken so it was put in a cast. As my husband was looking at the paperwork he noticed they had mixed up our last name on the chart. That should have been a red flag. Fast forward 2 months, and I receive a ridiculously expensive bill of which my insurance has covered nothing. My insurance co pays for urgent care and ER visits when out of sate. It turns out that breaking an ankle is not an emergency urgent care visit and it is my responsibility to know all of my benefits not theirs. VSO billed my son's visit as a normal office visit, so my insurance company would not pay the bill. If it was billed as an urgent care visit my insurance would have paid for my son's care. I was basically threatened that if I didn't pay something now that my bill would be sent to collections. The director of finance showed absolutely no compassion and never offered a payment plan, etc. The treatment I received on the phone is completely unacceptable and the front desk staff needs to know to contact the finance office when a patient asks about accepting insurance. Terrible overall experience and I am stuck paying a large bill.

The worst health experience ever. If you’ve got great insurance and money to burn, then they may work for you. We decided not to go through with the knee replacement surgery for my husband because of the exorbitant cost estimate of $80,000 to $100,000 for 1.5 hour surgery without a hospital stay. 5 months after our consultation, we were billed for additional fees. The Dr’s fee was over $400 for a consultation that lasted 5 minutes. I’m sure the Dr’s are highly skilled, but we didn’t feel like we were well taken care of.

I can’t praise this office enough, especially Chad Ford. I came here in January after a fall while skiing, they had me in and out really quickly, did X-rays, did the necessary explaining, took the time to answer questions, and ordered me an MRI. I got back to my hometown the next week and found out I tore my ACL and that stressed me out majorly. Chad called me about the results when he was able to look at the images, took his time explaining the results, told me I should get surgery, told me how surgery would look like and gave me options. I talked to a few docs in my area and was nervous about surgery and how many choices I had to make, so I called Chad again to talk about what the best route would be for me and to get another opinion. He explained everything so well, made me feel less stressed, gave me his perspective, and I can’t be more grateful. Surgery is scary and I wish I could have gotten it done here at Vail, but it feels good knowing that even if I don’t get surgery there, I’m still treated like an actual person rather than someone they pushed out of their clinic and forgot about. Also shoutout to the girl in billing for taking care of me too, thanks for my MRI CD back!
