This place has shown improvement and lots of it. Dr Duwe is always awesome, but the new nurses in the ER have made it much better. Especially Moe. Keep it up Van Diest, hire people who care.

Had to take my daughter to the hospital last night and Mark Minton was the ER Doctor. He was so good!! He was very good at educating us on the digestive system and why she was vomiting. He really listened to us and gave her the right medication to help her feel better. Usually doctors don't explain the digestive system or use language you can understand, but this doctor was awesome! If we ever have to go to the ER again, I hope he is the doctor on-call.

I went into the emergency room here first the staff was incredibly rude. Next I was told my visit was completely covered by my insurance. Months later im getting bills in the mail when i called about it they said it was a clerical error but refused to fix their mistake and now it has been sent to collections because of a mistake they made. You're better off going anywhere but here

My mother was well taken care of during her last days. Since I live in another state, I would call daily to check on her. The staff never rushed giving an update, allowed for any questions that I had. When I arrived at the hospital before her death, everyone was very compassionate. The hospital has very nice rooms too. 5 stars.

This place is BEYOND shady! First off realize their own staff/family/friends is writing in these reviews... ALL of upper management in this place needs a full investigation which we plan on doing. We are working with IBME, Iowa Nursing board, Lawyers and investigative journalist on this place. There is so much messed up stuff going on here being swept under the rug at this place I can't even begin to cover the small stuff in this review let alone anything heinous. All i know is they should absolutely spit on you and hand out lipstick before you enter this place. believe the fake reviews if you wish, you were warned.

I took my mom to the Emergency room last night after going to a different hospital that "treated" her and tried sending her back to her nursing home. At 1:30 am, in the middle of a snow storm I drove her to Webster City. The AMAZING staff came and picked her up out of my car and went to work immediately running labs and treating her. Come to find out my mom was septic, with covid, low blood sugar, low blood pressure, dehydrated to the point her potassium was low and she needed IV treatment. The wonderful, caring staff went the extra mile for me, making me hot, fresh coffee in the middle of the night, offering me blankets and pillows, hugs, and kind words. They LISTENED to my concerns carefully, and went to work. They saved her life. I'm SO grateful for this hospital and the amazing staff there. Thank you all so much and God bless you all. You are all God's people and I could feel that and tell!

Saw Dr. Darrin- wonderful experience. Listened to us openly and gave us options to review for our care. Involved us in the treatment plan. The nurse rooming us was extremely informative. Great experience. Will continue to recommend Van Diest Medical Center!!!!
