I met Dr. Zlomislic for the first time yesterday, April 23, 2025. He spent well over 30 minutes, talking with me about a number of issues regarding my spinal cord and the many surgeries that may need his attention. I could make this opinion verbose, but for the sake of brevity, I will say one thing: He cares. He cares. That’s all you need to know. He cares.

I have to admit when I first started seeing Dr Z it wasn’t the best experience as scheduling is always late but it is almost always because he is tied up in surgery or an emergency which is just hard to accept when you are waiting and in pain. But after my surgery two days ago, I would do it all over again and be happy about it because he is the first surgeon out of at least 10 I’ve seen over the past decade that finally diagnosed my problem correctly and fixed it! I’ll never get back those 10 years of my life but thanks to Dr Z I have a future without pain ahead of me. And I couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend Dr. Z for he is the best I’ve seen by far! A+++++

Disk-echtomy yesterday, one night in the hospital, returned home the day following. Excellent results. Dr. Zlomislic came highly recommended, and I agree. In recovery I never needed to push the "pain" button, I can walk straight upright which I could not do two days ago, the shooting pain in my leg is gone -- Thank You. The staff at UCSD Hospital, I cannot say enough about. I told my sister I think they must all have had a two-year course in Kindness. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

Dr Zlomislic operated on my spine 3 weeks ago. We met twice before the surgery and Dr Zlomislic ordered X-rays and an MRI, then explained my options and identified the course of action that he felt was most likely to achieve a good result, while offering the least disruptive surgical intervention. The operation went flawlessly (partial laminectomy of L4-L5-S1) and I left the hospital the very same day. NO complications of any kind and my recovery profile has been very speedy: back to walking 3 miles per day after only 3 weeks. The pain from which I was seeking relief is now GONE. I have found Dr Zlomislic to be a VERY good communicator and listener, and a highly knowledgeable surgeon-and a very nice person. Highly, Highly recommend !

Great Doctor, I Had A Spinal Fusion T3-T12 With The Removal Of Harrington Rodes Done In June 2019 And My Outcome Results Are Terrific. I Healed How Exactly As Told By Dr.Zlomislic. I Had Gone Thru In Home PT Now Working On Outpatient PT Soon, I Highly Recommend Him To Anyone Who Is Dealing With Back Pain. His Team Is Awesome.

I took my father to Dr. Zlomislic this past summer for his foot and back. As a concerned and confused daughter, I wasn't sure what would be the best treatment for my father to be able to walk again and I put the doctor on spot when I asked him what would you do if my father was your father? He stared at my face for a second and repeated exactly what he had recommended to us previously and he took the time to listen to me and my father with so many questions and went over all possible alternatives. I never expected a doctor of this generation to sit there and listen to all of our questions, but he did and he made time to discuss everything in great details. I wish more doctors would treat patients with care instead of treating them as customers. Thank you doctor for treating my father as a patient.

Dr Z and the A team were amazing. They have you covered from A-Z. Lumbar 2-4 fusion 5 weeks out and I'm moving around very well. Still alot of PT and recovery to do but nerve pain is resolved and now just recovering from. The fusion and insisions. I would highly recommend Dr Z.
