I found this office through Google. After researching the 6-Month Smiles program, I was super excited about finally achieving a beautiful smile. As someone who was 28 at the time and felt insecure about fixed braces, the idea of a quick treatment made me feel more comfortable.

The doctor’s assistant was very kind and helpful, and although I didn’t feel a connection with Dr. Walton, she was thorough in explaining the treatment plan and worked with me to create a plan that fit my budget. However, the overall experience with the office was extremely disappointing.

The doctor was not welcoming and often had a rude attitude. This office does not take the time to go over steps or explain what they are doing, and it felt very rushed, as if their main goal was to get me in and out as quickly as possible.

The situation worsened during my third visit. While trying to book my next appointment, the front desk assistant attempted to schedule it for 8 weeks out, despite the doctor instructing me to return in 6 weeks. When I politely asked for clarification to ensure it wouldn’t interfere with my treatment, the front desk assistant became defensive and dismissive. When I asked to confirm with the doctor, he came over and acted extremely rude, defending his staff and saying I should just follow what the front desk assistant had scheduled.

The tone and attitude from both the doctor and the front desk assistant left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I decided to stop my treatment at this office because I no longer trusted my health to someone who shows such little regard for their patients, no matter how calm and understanding I tried to be.

This happened in 2019, and I’ve been back and forth about leaving this review ever since. However, I feel it’s important to share my experience to help others make informed decisions.

I completed my treatment at Smile Forever with Dr. Guilbert and had an amazing experience with both him and his staff. I wouldn’t recommend this office based on my experience and encourage others to seek out a dentist who truly respects and values their patients.

Rude. Dr. Walton made me feel so uncomfortable, I feel sick that someone in the health care industry which was made to help people would also make people feel so disrespected. I’m not even going to go into detail, the other reviews that are claimed as “fake” have all the info you need. I’m honestly scared to go back especially after writing this review, but they charge my credit card monthly and I know it wouldn’t be an easy process to get any of that money back! My experience with Walton Orthodontics has been the worst of my life. It was characterized by POOR HYGIENE, RUDE ATTITUDES, AND FRAUDULENT PRACTICES, INCLUDING BREACH OF CONTRACT AND UNAUTHORIZED COLLECTION OF MONEY.
Our first consultation was brief, and during this time, the employees of Walton Orthodontics immediately suggested installing braces for my daughter. After electronically signing an 18-month treatment contract, Walton Orthodontics promptly took a down payment of $750, set up monthly payments from my card, and initiated withdrawals from my dental insurance benefits. I expected to receive a copy of the contract after signing, but they did not provide it, nor did they give me their email, business cards, a treatment plan, or any documentation at all.
They installed braces on my daughter without my presence, claiming they had explained everything to my 14-year-old daughter. I anticipated being kept informed about the treatment process for my minor daughter. Walton Orthodontics employees promised to send me a copy of the contract the next day, but they never did. It became nearly impossible to reach them; they only provided a number for texting, to which they responded after several days or not at all, and their portal was non-functional.
After three months, I received the contract but noticed a clear expression of disrespect and an insulting attitude towards me. I felt that Dr. Walton was particularly rude, unwilling to answer questions, and often made a displeased face when communicating with me. This is the only office I have been to where the employees do not greet you or bid farewell to you and are unable to schedule new appointments during your visits.
During one appointment at Walton Orthodontics, I observed a technician wearing gloves while installing braces for my daughter. The technician placed her fingers deep in my daughter’s mouth, then opened cabinet drawers, then placed the same gloves back into my daughter’s mouth. This process was repeated multiple times. Nearby, another doctor was working on a patient and opened the same cabinet drawers with his gloves on. Following this visit, my daughter developed a sore throat and fell ill, taking several days to recover.
I sent a courteous text message to Walton Orthodontics expressing my concerns about the poor hygiene practices observed during the treatment. Unfortunately, my concerns were only met with insult and rudeness from both staff and orthodontist. When I asked the office staff if they received my message of concern, she was offended and said defensively, “I saw that!” At no point was I rude to the doctor or his staff. I remained patient and hoped for a positive resolution, ensuring all payments were made on time.
However, shortly after this, we received a dismissal letter citing interpersonal differences and loss of harmony. The dismissal letter was completely unacceptable. They breached their own contract after five months, causing us significant financial damage. Walton Orthodontics charged my credit card for the down payment, then processed monthly payments, and nearly all my daughter’s lifetime benefits from her dental insurance. They never responded to my certified letter (objecting to their unethical dismissal letter), phone calls, or voicemails.
After this negative experience, I came across other poor reviews on Google and Yelp about Walton Orthodontics, highlighting similar issues. I strongly recommend that you do not choose Walton Orthodontics for your dental needs.

Wow! Where do I even begin. Setting up my complimentary consultation was a breeze. Scheduling was quick and easy. Once I got to my appointment, I was immediately greeted by Lisa at the front desk who was just lovely. She handled the first half of my consultation and was very personable, knowledgeable and kind. Then I met with Dr. Walton who was also very thorough and answered all the questions I had. It’s clear how they’ve been in business for so long. I really look forward to starting my treatment here at this practice.

I’ve had a nothing short of a great experience. The staff is wonderful. I absolutely love everyone there. They make accommodations that’s not only fitting for their schedule but also mine. I had treatment first and afterwards my son is currently having treatment. I highly recommend this office everywhere and to everyone. I never write reviews unless they truly deserve it, and this practice and staff goes beyond your standards everytime.

the staff is ok, but walton is horrible. anytime you say something to him about braces/teeth. he gets pissed off and very sensitive. my teeth are still not straight and teeth don't sit properly when I close my mouth. after I got my braces off. He was like you need some veneers. like what the hell. he did mention that when I was getting braces and my teeth are fine, I don't need veneers. he was all nice in the beginning, wasted too much time, but results not that great.
GO TO SOMEONE ELSE WHO WILL LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS AND GET YOU PERFECT STRAIGHT TEETH.
