As I lost my mom to colon cancer, one most aggressive cancers I know my journey with preventive care will be in good hands and know he will advocate when needed with your care. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am for West Ga Gastro.
I came in and saw Amanda today with some issues that I was having. She was so lovely and wonderful. She related to my situation and helped me out tremendously. She made my visit very comforting and explained everything I needed to know in detail with guided steps.
I usually see Lauren as well. She has amazing bedside manners and listens so well. She asks all the right questions to help cancel out diagnoses. She always is so helpful and will do anything she can to help. She is so sweet and an excellent provider.
I love that these two listen and take their time with you.
The front office and medical assistants are so sweet. They actual converse with you and make the visit feel so much more welcoming than most. Thank you for taking care of me!

Complete and total fantastic experience in it's ENTIRETY. All involved were lovely but what really changed everything started with Amanda Descalzo. In our opinion she is the most courteous, professional, and more importantly-TRUTHFUL human being we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in the medical universe. That alone is saying something. Between myself and my husband we have had EXTENSIVE experience with people in the medical field due to our medical issues. Google doesn't have enough space for the good things I have to say about her. I don't know if she ever has a bad day, but I can almost guarantee that if she does, none of her patients know it. If you go to this practice, beg to have her as your PA-C. She did something for us that I won't share here online, but what I can say is that it was deeply personal to us. It changed EVERYTHING for us going into the holidays. The wonderful thing is, I do not get the impression that the day we saw her, she was just in a good mood. Rather, I think you will get the best she can give of herself ANY day you see her. My husband is not a long standing patient of hers. That was the first time we had ever seen her so she did not do what she did because of a personal/professional relationship. She gave me back something I have not had for a long time: The belief that there are still people that are good to others for no personal gain.

She took the time out to answer all of my questions, listened to everything I needed to address with her, and showed, in every way possible, how much She cared about me as a patient.
