My experience with Dr. Young II closely mirrors LueAnne Martin's one-star review; however, I couldn’t tolerate interacting with him for even five minutes after he entered the exam room. I have been a patient at Piedmont Physicians for over 10 years, dating back to when they were located at their previous offices. I received excellent care from Dr. Reid until his retirement. Afterward, my new primary care physician provided outstanding care for over a year but left the practice relatively recently.

Initially, I had no concerns about reestablishing care with another physician within Piedmont. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Young II was highly disappointing and alarming. Like LueAnne's review, Dr. Young demonstrated little knowledge of my medical history, lacked genuine interest or compassion, and appeared generally incompetent.

I immediately recognized these issues—within just a few minutes of meeting him. I felt so uncomfortable that I left the exam room within three to four minutes of his arrival and proceeded to the front desk to cancel my appointment. When staff asked about the issue, I candidly expressed my frustration and informed them that I would consult my cardiologist to find a new primary care physician and practice.

Frankly, I am shaken by this awful experience at Piedmont. As an educator, I usually strive to find something constructive or positive to say, even about negative experiences. However, in this case, I cannot. If you have chronic illnesses or complex medical needs, I strongly advise against scheduling with Dr. Young II. My sincere recommendation is to seek care elsewhere—you deserve better.

Dr. Chung is a great primary care physician. He listened and focused on my medical history, gave positive feedback and recommendations and was more than willing to help me get what I needed for a second opinion from a specialist on a specific health issue. I highly recommend him and will continue to see him as my PCP..

I’ve been going to the same Piedmont physicians office for many years . And have seen different doctors within the practice in these years. And always felt the medical team there is knowledgeable of managing and maintaining my medical needs with consistency. Ive personally referred many patients to this practice. My main dr had left the practice. So I was in need of finding a new doctor. I saw Dr Chung for the 1st time cause I could get an appointment right away. I was very disappointed with him . After reviewing my records. I immediately was not confident that he could maintain the quality of medical care that I have always been confident with . It felt more like an “ urgent care” level of care . His expertise is not broad. He literally contradicted every single treatment plan that has been working in my file per recommendations from several other physicians in that same office for many years . He sent a long list of many different specialists that he recommends for me to see. As he doesn’t have the spectrum of knowledge or confidence to manage the SAME care that I have always received from this office since my initial visit . Which is very alarming . I explained to him that I have several prescriptions that are needed to be refilled that I’ve been on for many years . That I have always gotten refilled through that office . He said he doesn’t have the knowledge to refill. I explained that it’s very common to not get an appointment with all these different specialist that he wants me to see for several months. I’m personally not a doctor but I do know you should not discontinue medications abruptly for several months . He did not have a reply, or guidance. Ignored my concerns. I’ve sent messages on My chart to Dr Chung after visit. That goes unanswered . From my experience with Dr Chung he is not compassionate about the health and care of patients. And has put Piedmont Healthcare in a very bad light with his limited knowledge & expertise.

Excellent; my first time seeing Dr. Chung. I found him knowledgeable, friendly, relaxed and not rushed. He seems to genuinely care about his patient’s health. I have no hesitation recommending him.
